So I have a question. How cold is too cold to practice outside? I play for midway college, and we are having trouble on deciding a temperature limit for outdoor practices. Our headcoach has decided that 45 degrees is warm enough, but we also practice in the evening when the temperature is dropping. Our athletic trainer believes that it is too cold to practice, and we are putting our players on the line. We have had several injuries due to pulled muscles, and are now down to 10 healthy players. Is this really from the cold?

Too cold to practice... Is there such a thing? ;D ?Around Columbus the OCC high schools play when the temperature is 40[sup]o[/sup] or above.

That is pretty much the same guidelines I use for my HS practices. Got to get the ready for the weather they will play in.

But can the cold cause more injuries? I have no problem with the cold, but i juat had shoulder surgery, and it makes it really tough to move the next morning.
