The westerville Ice 14U came through strong this weekend to just come up short in a nailbiter. They had last at bats being down 8-5. They made it 8-7 with bases loaded, two outs and two strikes on the batter. The girl at bat had a good hit to right field with the fielder making the catch to end the game. 2nd place isn't bad on a hot miserable weekend. And congratulations to the Phoenix on an exciting game. ?8)

Congrats to your team too, hockeybuckeye. Your girls have a VERY fundamentally sound team. Needless to say, all us Phoenix parents were holding our collective breath on that last hit! It was a hard fought game in miserable heat so all the girls deserve a lot of credit for not folding when down.
This is the second weekend in a row our girls have had to overcome a five-run deficit in a nailbiter final. Hopefully, our World Series games won't be as stressful.

I know your team qualified for several World Series--where are you going to Nationals?

16U results were:
1st: Classics
2nd: Grove City Nightmare
3rd: FC Mustangs
I believe that the Vikings Elite 14U team placed fourth in this division, playing up as 16's this weekend.
