Some thoughts

#1 Recruiting is starting even earlier and truly believe it will get worse before it gets better. Also I want my girls list to be 15-20 schools

#2 We preach academics first!!! This one is true unless you are that softball freak I'm talking like 1 in a 1000

#3 ABSOLUTELY!!! Everybody loves that kid!

#4 Definitely keep improving your game! Even after you verbal. As is level of play your team is playing but that is another topic.

#5 This is so important! Just being in the right events or camps only get's you so far. So many parents/kids think just being on a team that is going to a showcase event or camp is it. Unfortunately in todays recruiting world not always the case. You need someone that actually cares about the girls recruiting and will work hard for them along with being connected, and that connection changes depending on the level of play you are looking for D1,D2,D3, or NAIA

#6 Wow preaching to the choir here MARKET MARKET MARKET take control of your future!

#7 EXACTLY NEVER GIVE UP! You may have to cast your net a little wider but keep working.

College coaches want athletes who:

Get good grades, put getting an education as their top priority
Have good character, are trustworthy, honest, loyal, team oriented, unselfish, respectful, show positive leadership qualities, will stay positive when things aren't going well, put the team first
Are athletic and versatile, strong, quick, powerful, have a presence on the field, talk, play big, perform in clutch situations, want to be the one to get it done when the game is on the line
Who have parents who will be supportive of the program and not question everything the coaching staff does
Are mentally tough and physically strong
Are committed and disciplined
Make good decisions on and off the field
Know the game and can make adjustments on the field
Are passionate about giving their all every single day

Athletes who want to be coached, challenged, and pushed.
