We have be fortunate enough to play in 9 states over our teams playing years. Having done so, I would rank Tenn. #1. GA. #2 ILL #3 as the top three we played in.
Criteria for making the top three for us include: competition, umpiring, playing facilities, college coaches attending, hotel accommodations, amount of games, cost to play and other attractions for family.

What have you seen?

I agree with #1 and #3. #2 I would go with Virginia. Atleast the states Ive been in. Have not been out west.

What event in VA.? We played out there for ASA Eastern Nationals and also in Harrisburgh PA for Eastern where we picked up a ASA B national. While it iwas a special event it still did not make my top three.

Right over here!
AZ and CA are very nice. The fields are well taken care of by city municipalities. Ton of extras you don't see around Ohio. The pop up infield sprinklers are cool, Facilities are well maintained with sufficient night time lighting, concessions, and stadium type seating is placed strategically so there are great vantage points. As far as competition they have a few good teams on the west coast..

I will tell you we played some great games in TN and SC this summer and those facilities were pretty sweet! the turf fields in SC would rival any collegiate facility..

In our experience, I'd say competition wise- #1 California (PGF Nationals); #2 Colorado (Colorado Fireworks Broomfield 14u) & #3 New Jersey (Team New Jersey Showcase) & St Louis 1 Showcase (fall 2013- we were in the gold division)

both Cali & Colorado had some of the best weather and facilities as well
