So we're playing in an indoor tournament like I see you all posting about. Our first game is 4:00......... in the am. Next game 6:20......... yes.... am. I hope the hotel is close enough to walk or dd may need a ride! First year of TB. Is this normal for the indoor tourneys?

Sounds like Spano! But they are usually super late games, midnight/2:30 A.M.

Doesn't sound normal in Ohio. Spano Dome in Akron always had the goofy late games. Must be a real big tourney!

Yes, it is normal. Consider yourself lucky to get back to back games, then you are done for the rest of the day, or at least long enough to go take a nap.

In all the time DD played and I coached, we never had a game start before 7AM or after midnight ... we were lucky?? I say not normal, though I have seen on here over the years some indoor tourneys advertised as all-nighters.

normal operation for sports zone in Indy they play 24 hours thru the tourny, really hard to even use a hotel there. Fun at 12u starts to **** real bad when they hit 16

We just played there 2 weeks ago and had a 6:00 a.m. game. They play throughout the entire night too. Oh yeah btw this was for 10u. Makes for a long day! Good luck out there!

So old timers will remeber Massilon a few years back(7 or 8), played all night Saturday due to rain coming in on Sunday. Games started at 8 am Saturday Morning and championship game started around 5 am Sunday. Will always be one to remember.

I think we paid for hotel rooms for like 3 hrs that tournament, we should have slept at the field.

Really not worth going at the older ages if you ask me. Expensive for 3 game guarantee and no sleep on top of it. The ride home really stinks.

What is it about that place? 3 years ago, my DD was subbing for Wolfpack there and due to incoming rain, the last game she played started at somewhere around midnight. Her first game was Saturday morning and we had driven an hour and forty five minutes to get there. She was sleeping before we even pulled out of the park...lol.

Yea, the issue is they are actually running 2 tournaments, 10/14U, and they only have one field. I understand making money but come on. You want your teams to have a great experience. Up at 2:00, at the field by 3:00, play at 4:00 ugh!!! Wonder if we'll be back.

Guess if we want to play in the winter, to keep up with Cali, these are the conditions midwestern'rs must deal with.
