making it thru the year with a 10 girl roster ? Lots of teams seem to be stuck at 9 or 10 on their roster right now.(inc us) For those teams who try it at 10 has it backfired due to whatever reason ? injury , vacations , kid quits , whatever the reason . I think the slammers only carried 10 last year , did'nt hurt them much ( not counting ASA nat's) . MD

In my 5th year first 2 seasons had 11 girls which I think is the perfect number. But for the last 2 years have made do with 10. It has worked fine but had 0 injuries. Knock on wood. If you can try to locate an emergancy sub or 2. I have 2 former players who gave up softball to concentrate on golf and soccer. One still plays school softball and they are good enough athletes they regain quick enough to help in a pinch. Had to use each of them once over the last 2 years. Looks like I am headed for another season of 10 this year.
