With the Fourth of July falling on a Wednesday this year, does anyone know which weekend the 2012 Orrville Fire in the Sky tournamnet will be played on? I sent an email but haven't heard back yet. Thanks

Oh, good question sine the 4th falls on a Wednesday. Hopefully the weekend before. Stingray tourney is on the 6th-8th.
They may not get to you on this right away. They have the carnival to iron out and a few other things that makes that tournament special. Look for last year's first announcement here and it should give you a general idea of when they'll announce.

Not a problem and wouldn't doubt it if you were in the doghouse so to speak. This is a fantastic tournament. I'm not being biased being raised in Wayne County (no longer live there either).
I think the firefighters is in a pickle since being leap year (oldest dd finally gets her birthday this year) and the 4th falls mid week.

They have a facebook page and I posted the question there. We can keep checking that for an answer.

Orrville Firefighters' Fire In The Sky 14U Girls ASA Tournament wrote: "The date is not quite confirmed, but all indications are that the 14U tournament will be held July 5,6,7 with the firworks after the Championship Game on the 7th. We will post a notice when we firm up those dates!"

Musty, I wonder if they picked that weekend prior to seeing it would conflict with Stingrays?

Not sure they care about Stingray's. This is the top 14U tournie in the state.

These are real firefighters, they might not even know what the Stingray's tourney is. I know last year the dates were confirmed based on the availability of the carnival. Understand this is a city holiday, their 4th celebration that the firefighters put on the tournament in conjunction with. The date may be set by the city.

OFC community, We apologize for any conflict with other tournaments around the state. We select our dates based on when we shoot our fireworks. We mean no harm 
!
