Sure, normally the 3B is going to be playing up in that bunt situation and so SS would cover. If for some reason 3B was not playing up, then she would cover.
Had one play set for the SS to cover and 3rd base up. Another play I kept my 3rd baseman back and brought up my SS toward the circle to cover the line once my pitcher started her motion (she starts off playing up in front of runners lane). Many cases you can tell (better yet strong guess) if the other team is faking the bunt just to move the runner to 3rd and hoping to expose your defensive coverage.
