There are many good 2 day events--of Course, Musty only comes to Beavercreek to get his "loaded nacho and hamburger right off the grill" fix. You can run large tournaments in 2 days if you have the fields to work with and if you run one or two age groups--this weekend in Beavercreek, the TD (not me) had 14 16U teams and 23 14U teams in playing on 9 fields and it worked (of course we had great weather). The TD did a great job organizing, scheduling, and then running the event.
I know there is tremendous "buzz" effect when a large crowd is around but in the end, you will only play maybe 5 games and that means maybe 5 different teams--in a smaller event, you will for sure play 4 times. Smaller events, for example the Best of Best played in Masssilon area have 8 teams and the compettiton is good as any where around.
