due to our age...everything. Most of our workout is dependent upon 2 hours once a week for now. It also helps that the girls have private hitting lessons.

We are working core fundamentals and will gradually change our focus to scenarios and more advanced training. Fun times!!!!!

I just got back from doing a hitting clinic in Vancouver Canada and we teach throwing first and as usual the parents THOUGHT their kids knew how to throw until we started actually throwing the ball. It is a natural lead in to hitting as far as a weight shift, building momentum and stepping linear on a flex knee. After we were done the parents commented why they had not seen this before as to the back leg lifting off the ground or the weight shifting forward. What was even funnier was I asked the girls if their shoulders hurt or elbows hurt after a game or double header and all but one girl said yes and when I ask her again she she said kind of but a little more here than there and pointed to the top of the shoulder.

At the coaches clinic Sunday it was an eye opener for the coaches as several were there while we were working with the hitters.

While teaching separation at toe touch it was easy to say we move our hands back to throw to build momentum and we separate at toe touch to build momentum for hitting however not as far as we do for throwing and they understand it.
