Xelerator

Hey everyone,
I know pitchers, coaches and parents are always looking for another tool to strengthen, encourage good mechanics and muscle memory as well as spice up the every day routine.

I use the Xelerator with my pitchers during my lessons and at some of my camps. It has the same functionality as the Finch windmill; strengthening and proper mechanics. My favorite thing that it helps is allow the pitcher to get the feeling of keeping your shoulder loose while increasing your arm speed

Please check it out at:

Email me at radaramchugh@gmail.com with any questions.
I sell them for 40 plus shipping. However I do live in Akron, so if you wanted to pick it up that works too....

My 10u dd has one! It is great between innings to keep loose! Her arm speed is great. Do you recommend using it for overhand throwing motion?

Can someone briefly explain exactly HOW this works? The web site doesn't explain at all how to use it, or how it works. I'd like to find something for my DD to use during the winter, but don't really have $200 for the Windmill. Thanks!

It is wayyyy to heavy to use for overhand use(rotator cuff muscles can not support that)... however they do have the smaller one, but I still think its too heavy for younger players... I would recommend the towel drill.... tons of baseball players use it..

Radara,

Can you give me an idea of how it works? I see pictures of it on your site, but not sure how it actually functions or what you can do with it to help pitching.

Thanks!

ok explaining things over forums is tough but ill see what i can do...

on the website you can see a picture of me "doing it" granted its not in motion but it gives u an idea of the stance...I teach for hips to be open on release..hence being in open position..Weight on back foot! 60% of weight on back foot

ok hoping we have all heard of the power line.. daughters toes should be on power line..glove arm pointed towards catcher and she swings the Xelerator in her arm circle...making sure the Xelerator comes back through next to her glove pointing back at the catcher as well...

you can do this a couple ways.. I usually have my kids get the Xelerator started, make sure they have good body position(chest over feet, butt out) MAKE SURE THEY KEEP THEIR SHOULDER LOOSE. if they bend their arm or tighten up.. it'll probably hit them ) i always tell them punishment for bad mechanics :eek:P

1. and then have them go ten as fast as they can... you can increase the number the more in shape they get...this is more for arm speed
2. or have them do it primarily as a strengthen and endurance.. and have them go 30 rotations, 2, 10 and then be done.

u can do this at the beginning(get loose, get a sweat going).. at the end(make em push through when tired)... in the middle(make em throw a work while tired, every pitcher needs to know the feeling)... as well as if you dont have a catcher or a place to throw you can do a workout with it to keep ur shoulder strong. all serving different purposes

If they JUST do the Xelerator and no throwing, make sure they do spins as well.. making sure we strengthen wrist and forearms, which is just as important

Personal Preference... I do not like for pitchers to throw weighted balls.. spins is all i allow them to do with weighted ball..because i can isolate the wrist snap

because girls tighten up enough as it is. the second u put a weighted ball in their hand they start using their elbow to snap instead of their wrist. and shorten up the length of their arm circle.

Me either. The balls in my link above are meant to simulate the same exercises as what you would do with the Xcelerator or Finch Windmill. They are way to heavy to throw.

Your web site will not open to order on line. Comes up as not a secure web site. As info.
