How many orgs/teams are "going to the mattresses" tonight?
LOL ... had to look that one up ... and I am Italian!

In times of war or siege, Italian families would vacate their homes and rent apartments in safer areas. In order to protect themselves they would hire soldiers to sleep on the floor in shifts.

I knew the mattress thing from watching the Sopranos. In the last season, when Phil Leotardo had the hits ordered on Tony and his crew, they went to the mattresses.

Same goes for the 13u pitchers  word travels fast and Red will have many guest players this summer...some 12U's some 14U's....

If this is true, I sure wouldn't want to be the one figuring out the roster eligibility issues. Especially for ASA championship play, it's not so easy to sub for another team and/or then return to the home roster.

Guess the Welcome... statement on that site clears that up.. LOL - lock down the hatches - Coach will be looking to raid the chicken coops around here.

:lmao: Thanks to all the coaches that called/approached us this weekend and this week about our "loss" - I think every one of them were genuinely concerned and hoping the rumors were not true....Just wanted to let everyone know our "coop" is just fine - All the chickens are buttoned down, safe and secure...Wolves are on the prowl however, so beware. See you all this weekend and/or out in Dayton!

Sad to see Arissa go. Wish the family the best.

The end results with the 12U's will be interesting. Amazing what one player can change....Red still has my vote until someone beats em.

I agree - Even without one of the best pitchers at the 12U level, Lasers Red would still get my vote (if I voted) - Very strong at every position and they are battle tested for sure.

The Ohio Fastpitch community is for sure losing one of their finest - I wish them all the luck out west - Her new team is getting a great player and even better kid.

Laser red might want to " batten down the hatches" as well, I'm sure some coaches will be looking to pick off some of there players while they are down. I'm sure there is a team out there looking for a catcher!

Personally, I wont say they are down and out, would say they are still top ten, but we will find out on the field.

Over and out. ;)

The TBU will be missed all around Ohio. I truely think she is the best pitcher
at her age in this state.. Good luck to her and her family. Safe travels and good luck this summer..JMHO this poll is a far cry from even being close to being right... Lasers Red will always being number one!!! The teams that are
in the top 5 couldnt be as wrong as they are. Hawks (Lenos) number two for sure. After that you could remove the next 3 or so!! Must be a buddy system somewhere. Regardless, good luck to all teams..As a parent and fan it's hard to figure how some coaches vote for themselves at a 5 or better when they know they are not... :yahoo:

Classics are top 5 material for sure in my book. I don't like our team showing up in there as high as it is for we are severely beat up right now. We won't be full steam till June or July so go ahead and move me down for sure... no love loss here. Don't care other than the entertainment part of it. We don't share this stuff with the girls anyways... August is where it counts...

Love the Red team and although haven't faced them, I'm a fan. Losing a prime time player is never good for anyone. I'm sure Red will do massive damage... a pitcher is one position, although key to much of any one team's success, but defense and offense are also not easily overlooked with this team either. To be as good as they are... well... its self explanatory to me. Good luck to Red in this change over on the rubber.\\

And Doug's team is very tough as well. Again most will agree come August and even Mid summer, this will be more accurate.

Have fun with it....

The Metro and USSSA State will help - most all teams are in the two... as Les says, lot's of shakeup to come and settling down.
