I would say all 98 teams are shut down.

Just an opinion from someone who has little insight has played all these teams last year I understand players move teams get better but top four until proven otherwise is classics 98 lasers grey lasers purple and hoh nitro... There are very strong teams like hawks shepherd and static and sure more I have not seen but I know top four I named played with and beat alot of better 97 teams last year

I've done some major traveling over the past few years and have seen a ton of teams. I don't pretend to know evey organization but I like to think I've seen the best. I'll give you a top 10 that I think will make the most noise this season. Just an opinion so don't get all upset.


1. HOH Nitro
2. Cincy Static 98
3. Lasers Red
4. Lasers Gray
5. Ohio Stingrays 98
6. Ohio Hawks Shepherd 98
7. Cincy Doom 98
8. Lasers Purple
9. Ohio Classics 98
10. Diamond Chix 99

Looks like I had some right and some wrong . Nitro is certainly proving to be the #1 after Dayton but others on this list could go up & down respectively.
Classics 99 need to be on this list too and pretty high from what I saw. The Boren kid is a true ball masher and fits the mold her brothers play to.

I think Wizards Elite 98 deserves to be added to the top ten. From what I remember they finished in the top 50 of ASA/USA last year as 13u and always contend with the teams listed.

Nitro is really good. I would say they are on top for now, with Lasii and Classics 98 nipping at their heals. Dont discount Static, they can jump up and beat anyone.

I have never seen nor heard of the Nitro ( I no longer live in Ohio so please don't take this as an insult) I'm curious, what about the Nitro makes them so tough? Are they just a well rounded team? do they have elite pitching? huge bats? speed that is menacing? Any clue what circuit they are playing this year- ASA PGF? Do they play up? Are they or have they attended any showcase. with all of the comments on here about them I am interested to learn more

They've been around for quite a while and if I recall correctly, gave the old Laser Red team fits. This wekeend, they are in the Scenic City 16 summer showcase.

The Nitro have been around since 10U. They were the best team in the state that year and have been right at or near the top ever since. Great group of coaches and kids there.

Nitro is the real deal. Coach miller and his crew are very well equipped to play with anyone at any given time. Great group of girls and parents
