I have no doubt Lasers Red is good, but am I correct that they are a new team? They aren't the original Red, right?

I have also heard through the grapevine that a few of the "top" teams have dealt with some pretty major injuries in this off season. Hopefully, all those girls come back just as strong, if not stronger than before.

It's interesting that quite a few of last year's top 12u teams were not mentioned in this thread.

I have also heard that TFM (?) Rebels out of PA are an extremely tough game.

correct. Bill Arnold coached the old Lasers Red - there was a thread that said this new Lasers Red team is a core group of Lasers Blue and Grand Slam kids. Say what you want about Bill but he sure did know how to find the talent- I think all of his past players are on GOLD teams now.

My dd team played grand slam when she was 11u..... epic a$$ stomping we got there! The catcher , who I believe plays for lasers gray really stood out to my dd. Made her work that much harder to improve. That says something about that young lady to put such an impression on a girl who she's only 1 yr- 1 1/2 yrs older than! In the end that girl helped make my dd a better catcher whether she knows it or not, so thanks to her for that! Good kid too, very respectful of the game and her opponents.

Ohio Hurricanes Burk played GrandSlams when we were 11 and lost by 1 run in the semis. They were a very good team.

Corona Angels 14u are good.

:lmao::lmao:

I've done some major traveling over the past few years and have seen a ton of teams. I don't pretend to know evey organization but I like to think I've seen the best. I'll give you a top 10 that I think will make the most noise this season. Just an opinion so don't get all upset.

1. HOH Nitro
2. Cincy Static 98
3. Lasers Red
4. Lasers Gray
5. Ohio Stingrays 98
6. Ohio Hawks Shepherd 98
7. Cincy Doom 98
8. Lasers Purple
9. Ohio Classics 98
10. Diamond Chix 99

I think that in the 14u age group, the teams that make noise are the good teams that have some depth to them. over the years i have seen teams go with 2 pitchers and 2 catchers and no back up SS (in my opinion you need 2 starting SS) and end up in trouble when there is an injury. it happens especially at 14u when you have girls playing HS ball (conditioning, open gym, practice 5 days a week, games etc.) and then as soon as that ends, they go immediately to travel ball without a break...at this age, girls are growing/maturing and injuries happen. Good teams in February are not necessarily the good teams come July

I would say classics 99' should be there with a lot of teams this year. The 98' teams should have the advantage in 14u, due to maturity, and the fact that they've been there already. For alot of the 99' teams this is new territory. Granted there are plenty of younger 14's that can hang with and beat some of the older teams. For the most part though the second year 14u's should be the tougher teams this year. But don't tell some 13u's that.........lol

You are going to have some 13's that struggle to pitch from 43 feet too. Most of them (if any) won't be pitching in HS and they won't have the experience most 14/15's will.

What I find interesting is that most of the teams listed on here as being top team are letting others speak for them, they are not on here tooting their own horn.

Where did Doom98 come from? I don't remember Doom having a 98 or 99 team over the last couple of years.
