Marion Diamonds looking for 16u teams to play on Saturday.

Marion Diamonds 14u inquiring for a spot. They are first in line for either day if they want in.

16u has a Saturday division if you folks know any 16u teams. Let's help the Marion team find three more teams.

There is four time slots.... 9am, 11 am , 1 pm and 3 pm .

You welcome, Brian. The 12u will go off. Giving the Buckeye Elite until morning to answer back and then I believe the Diamonds are in. I have been contacted by other 12u and 14u teams as well. We'll get this shored up in two days.

You got motel rooms? Heck, I don't even have a motel room as they were sold out. Closest motel room is 35 miles away according to the Ross County people....

I'm camping actually.

Also, teams do not go online to register with NAFA. Until the regional site is up and running correctly... you can sanction directly with me.

But, you can go online and get the NAFA roster at www.playnafa.com.

Of course, birth certificates will be required for ALL teams as the prize warrants the fact that it shall be fair event.

Surely, all the teams knows that this is the 2009 season as of August 1st, 2008.

If a team gets questioned on a roster player and age.... and you don't have the birth certificate... then you forfeit that game and any other you had already played.

The $600.00 prize is on the line in this event.

Teams: Contact Lissa for motel rooms. I am leaving for Chillicothe here in a bit to go line up some motorhomes and campers for any of the teams. And if you can use Lissa, then we can figure out who needs what for accomodations for the tournament.

Sitting down tonight and making the schedules. The time slots for Sunday are 9am, 11am, 1 pm and 3 pm. You will play in three of those slots. The Saturday 18u three game exhibition goes off at 10:00 am, 12 Noon and 2 pm for sure. The Saturday Uniform games for all other division is probally going off at 9am as well. Finalize it tonight on game times for Saturday.

Was in Chillicothe all day securing other venues in case of inclimate weather. Have secure four grass infield diamonds around Chillicothe for usage if needed. Lissa and I have been working on securing the Paints Stadium... which for the people who do not know.. it is an artifical surface where the semi-pro team Paints play. I'll know the answer in the morning.
Also, again, if you need motel rooms contact Lissa as of right now there are rooms in Jackson, Ohio at two motels there, which is a 45 minute drive from the Park.

Also, for the teams... there are batting cages near the park as well as an indoor ****** facility for infield practice if you happen to be in town the night before. You can make arrangements for securing an hour of batting cage time by going to their website at www.triplecrownsports.net or call them at 740-773-PLAY. I spoke with him today and he can open up longer if there is a desire for the cages on Saturday evening. He's the county commissioner for Ross County and has been a great help with securing grass infield diamonds and working with the Paints for their stadium and getting temp lighting in case it is needed. We, of course, hope not and surely hope for a wonderful rain free weekend. But, we are preparing if it isn't, as well. Artifical turfed diamonds gives me that advantage. Be prepared to play the games. Just so you know. Have a great evening.
