I'll definetly refer, and we can talk more about your state tournament. The complex is owned by RVBFY @ www.rvbfy.org, there are 13 ball diamonds which hosts the rebellion tournament every year. The trees are still growing, but it is a really nice complex. I will get you the name of the new President and his contact information that oversees the River Valley complex. We were discussing this at our board meeting last night. The Marion Diamonds have nothing to do with the complex, which could be why you haven't heard back. So after your tournament we can talk, my email is rdelawder@gmail.com. Good Luck in your Tournament.

I will definately second Rdelawder's comments. Marion is one of my favorite complexes, expecially after the downpour last year and, against all odds, they got the tournament completed, in spades. I sat and watches the industrial sized pumps spewing the water out of the lower parking lots in between games and was still amazed that the tournament came off without a hitch. I would have bet my house that it would not have happened - and I would have lost.

Thanks Johnnies, I spent 4 hours on my knees in the outfields pumping via a house septic pump to get those fields ready. The RVBFY, it's members and parents are the best. Thanks to all those that played in the Rebellion Tournament.

rd,

Two of my players are from your area and about 2 AM, one of my parents sent a cell phone photo of a volunteer, thigh deep in water, working on the field... and 12 hrs later we were playing on that field. I still feel today that is one of the most incredible efforts I have ever seen in all of the years I have been coaching (which is longer than I will admit). I was dumbstuck when I arrived and the games were going to be "held as scheduled". That was one of the most incredible efforts I have ever seen by any organization. You guys could have written a manual on "How to Get it Done and Thumb Your Nose at Mother Nature".
That is an accomplishment I will never forget. I am still in awe.

I will. I am in Kansas City at the National Meeting and we are on break. Been one heck of a morning here of cours with everyone having a different opinion what works in their states. I have put my thrity cents worth about making the National tournament more of a tournament where you have to win something to get there. Half / half on the thought by people here. They are going to take my idea of setting the dates for the National at this meeting two years out so later tomorrow before I leave I will know where the 2009 and 2010 tournaments are. I believe we are getting a 2010 National as I did turn down the 2009 Nationals for Ohio so I can get established in Ohio.

Masks is on the table for this afternoon's session. I think they are going to say "it is highly recommended" and not force teams to wear them.

A lot of adjustments to the rules. The biggest is that an illegal pitch no lomger gives a base to runner. Just a ball to the batter.

I will typing the schedule this morning.

Sadly to say, the Miami Valley 18u has dropped out and Coach Jim Reisenburg wanted me to tell the 18u teams that he was sorry to drop out at a late notice.. but he had four girls come up to him and say they couldn't make it Sunday. He sounded more disappointed than me..... as five minutes after his phone call... the Westside Thunder 18u jumped into the tournament and thought they was helping in filling the tournament.

In the 12u Sunday division... I, the Stingrays and others have been trying to find another team to play ... and phone calls have been made. I informed the West Virginia Wind 1's that I was releasing them to go elsewhere... and will keep them informed if we find a team tonight.. as we have been working hard to do so.

Give me some time to type this schedule in.

Also, the Phoenix 16u team is playing on Saturday in the 18u/16u exhibition tournament.

In the Saturday 14u tournament.. I lost the Brats with Bats out of Indiana... but I have a team that was on a waiting list and he is to contact me tonight for sure before 7 pm. I will post the 14u Saturday schedule on Wednesday morning.

With 7 teams in the 18u division... alll I can do is draw numbers for positions in the tournament. I have tried to figure every way to make it work for all the teams. There is just no conceivable way except what I have done due to lack of lights and daylight hours.

I will be posting the 18 u schedule later today.
As for directions, Ross County people tell me there is not a physical address to the Park. If you google Chillicothe High School... you can come up with an address and the Park Annex is located right behind the school and over the levee. I am going to begin typing the schedule right now on this thread.
