I understand that the support for this event is very slow in coming. I would urge you to contact the Racers, at the above listed number, regarding a ticket purchase to help support the Racers.

Thanks,

The Akron Racers will unveil their new website on Thurs., April 20th. The new website has a fresh look and is easier for fans to navigate and find up-to-date information. The photo section includes a slide show featuring pictures from the 2005 NPF Championship.
"We are so excited about the new website" commented Joey Arrietta. "John Reuter, from Belaire Products, built the website and there is more to come. The website will include a special link for fans to watch the 2005 NPF Championship game against the Chicago Bandits."
A special feature on the website is the "Together" section. Joey Arrietta, the Akron Racers owner/GM, teamed up with Akron General Medical Center, to present the "Together Against Breast Cancer" initiative. The co-founders of the program are excited about this joint project and will officially launch their campaign on Thursday, April 27th at AGMC's Grape Escape event at the Fairlawn Country Club. Check out the complete "Together" story with sterling silver charms and pins and a full line of clothing. The proceeds will benefit breast cancer prevention and research.
The Racers will continue to use the www.akronracers.org address. Check out the website weekly for the best of the Akron Racers and more!

My DD and I went to see the Akron Racers play on Friday. It was a great game and we had a great time! She was able to get all their autographs after the game and all the Racers talked to her. What a great opportunity for all our young ladies to have right here in town! :)

Does anyone know if Jennie Finch will be with the Chicago Bandits when they come to Akron to play the Racers? Could have a big impact on attendance depending if she will be with the Bandits or if team USA is playing somewhere and she is with them.

I took my daughters to a Racers game against a Japanese team. We had a great time. In contrast to the Indians players who ignored my daughters when they tried to get an autograph, the Racers players signed for eveyone and talked with the girls. They are great role models for this next generation of players.

The home opener for the Akron Racers is this Thursday (June 7th) at 7:05 PM at Firestone Stadium in Akron against the Chicago Bandits. They also play the Bandits on Friday, Saturday and Sunday.

Go to the link below for more details. If you want to see the best fastpitch softball being played at the best softball stadium east of the Mississippi, then this is the place and this is the team. The Racers are a great organization and I'm sure NE Ohio will support them. Take the family to a game; you'll want to go back for more.
