How many innings make a game...

  1. If tournament rules specify that ASA rules cover any rules not specifically listed in the tournament rules, how many innings are played if time is not an issue. In all my years of travel, school and college, a game was not over until after the 7th inning, unless time had expired for those games limited by time. Last weekend we found out it is now 6 innings, not 7. I must have missed that ASA rule change, but I sure cannot find it anywhere...?

Beckham's will have their Showdowns events for 10U & some 12U be only 6 innings.
They even use a 6 Runs Per Inning Rule too. Closest you will get to going back to Rec ball...…
And they advertise using only 1 Umpire for those groups in the Summer!!!

  3. If they put that in the rules then sure, but if there is no rule regarding length of game play except for a time limit, shouldn't all games that could, go to 7 innings as long as time doesn't expire? Asking for a friend...
