? ?The City of Dayton is NOW registering teams for the 2008 Girls Fastpitch Leagues, located at Kettering fields, downtown Dayton, Ohio. ?Last year was the biggest and best year competitively as we added travel team leagues to the schedule. ?Leagues will fill up fast so make sure you sign up your team early.......... ?

* ?League fee: ?325.00 includes balls, umpires, individual (shirts/drawstring bags) & team awards, lighted fields.

* ?Individual player sign ups are also taken and will be placed on a appropriate level team thats available.

How late do the double headers go? I'm asking for the parents who will hit me with a "It's a school night, etc."

The doubleheaders game times are 6:30 & 8:00 for the summer leagues. i think the younger group that starts in April is 6:00 and 7:30.

Please make a note that at our last meeting the Miami Valley Vipers signed up our 12's, 14's, and 16's to play in the select double header league. Only one change....our 16's still want to play in the select 18 group, our U14 still want to play in the 16 select group, but our U12's would like to stay with the U12's and not move into the 14 select group.

Hi Tim ,

i see you still havent got your PM's fixed....

18's look to be stronger, going more for 16u travel and 18u teams this year. Hows the Pebble doing? Rob said she destroyed some softballs down at Sinclair.

Just a quick question, how can you keep the cost down? Our area league is charging $100.00 per player! We get a few more games and a visor :-[

The City of Dayton charges TEAMS the 325.00 fee to participate in the league and to furnish the balls, umpires, individual (shirts/drawstring bags) & team awards, lighted fields.
The TEAMS are responsible for their own coaches, uniforms, equipment, etc and charge the players what they seem aproppriate to cover expenses, the leagues does not control this fee.
We do however, take INDIVIDUAL players names and place them on teams in their age group needing a player. With any fees being between the player and the team.

I cant really speak for whatever league youre talking about, but 100.00 does seem like alot.....

I was at the meeting last night and they said they are still looking for 12U teams for the upper & lower rec leagues. You have posted that the 12U is full. That is not correct. You also only have the 12U teams playing double headers. The upper & lower rec leagues will not be playing double headers.
