Mom256 tell your DD she was missed and we brought her home a trophy.


Valley Storm did a great job fields were great weather got a bit cold as the evening got closer. Next year I would recommed this tourney as a great fall tourney to get into.

One suggestion would be two umpires per game. Even though the did the best job they could there were missed calls in the field.

Fries and coffee were awesome.

Thanks again to the Valley Storm for hosting a very good event. I agree with 12ustingrays that Kyle park has the making of a nice softball venue.

We will attend next year again for sure.

classics 14 had a great time...stayed in vandalia (onion), ate wings at frickers (loved that florida loss on the widescreen + wings/ribs)....not to mention the tourney...good fields, lots of great practice space and great chicken strips/fries at the concessions...even met a few "are you statman?" stalkers....a bit windy on sat, but sunday was rocking....a good tourney for our team to play together rolling into winter workouts

Good job Valley Storm. Thanks for putting this Falll tournament on. Rob, Mike, Kevin and Merle and Familys. I know you worked hard and it made for a great tournament. The team and parents had a great time.

Rich, (Ohio Wave), You have a great team and we really enjoyed playing against you.

The fields were in great shape. I love the location. We would love to come back next year.

Scott, thanks for the props. The game on sunday against your team was very good. You guys have improved alot since we scrimmaged a few weeks ago. We just had a great weekend hitting the ball. Paetkau has helped us a ton in that department and we look forward to him coming back a few times this winter. This is the hardest working group of players that we have ever coached and they make the job easy. Our three 13 year old pitchers did a great job allowing only 6 runs over the 4 games played and we only had only 2 errors on the weekend. Much more then we expected for this time of the year. Gives us a little hope for the coming season.

We will see you guys again before the season starts as I am sure that we will get together for a few more scrimmages. Keep up the good work.

I am not sure of all of the 14U scores but our games were as follows:

vs Ohio Hawks 12-0
vs Valley Storm 6-2
vs Dayton Dominators 4-2
vs Valley Storm (Championship Game) 15-2


In the other game today for 3rd / 4th place it was:

Dayton Dominators over Ohio Wave (Fletcher) in a close game. Maybe Scott can confirm the score.


I think that the pool play results were as follows: (someone please correct me if I am wrong)

Just wanted to thank Rob and the Valley Storm coaches for putting on a such a nice tournament. ?Kyle Park is definitely a nice facility, not to mention the good food, friendly faces, and good competition. ?Since our team is a mix of old and new players, it was a great chance for the girls to get to know each other better, on and off the field. ?We look forward to seeing many of the same teams next summer. ?

Congrats to the Ohio Wave - Rosinski team for bringing home the championship. ?Wish it could have been the two of us playing for it, but that's how the cookie crumbles. ?Look for us another time! ?

Congrats also to the Valley Storm and Diamond Dominators for taking home some hardware. ?
Mike and Kevin....hope to meet up with you guys again, great game on Saturday...down to wire is how it should be.

Scott....what can I say....it was a good game all around other than the outcome. ? ?Looking forward to our next meeting! ?

The score was 3-1 Diamond Dominators over Ohio Wave Fletcher. I'm sure we will have some more battles ahead. That Courtney Fain sure is a great pitcher. I really see an improvement in your team. I'm sure with that coaching staff, you all will put it together.

I was inpressed with the Ohio Hawks hanging in there. It's hard starting up a new team. They played a good game against us. And from what I understand, they played another good game in the consolation game against the Ohio Classics. Keep working hard and success will come.

The Ohios Classics 14u players parents and coaches are a great group of people. Columbus just pumps the good teams out, don't they? It was fun.

Scott & Corina,

I knew that the game (and the score) was close. I wish that I could have watched the game but we were busy on the other diamond.

No doubt that both of these teams will be heard from this summer, as will the Valley Storm. They finished 2nd the last two weekends so they have clearly been knocking on the door.
