Manchester CCHS game a tough fought battle by both teams in Div III with CCHS holding the panthers 1-0 into the 7th inning and finally losing 2-1. Good luck to Manchester in their run for states.

it has been brought to my attention that Hamilton was at an unfair disadvantage - [highlight]question for all of you[/highlight] - if one of the best players in the GMC and a senior misses one practice in 4 months do you bench them in post season knowing that you need them to win???

of course i was not there - and i can't at all give accuracy of detail - HOWEVER in my opinion and only my opinion, this is a good kid, she has never done anything like this before - SHE IS A SENIOR - she is one of the leaders in the GMC - YES of course i understand that there was no excuse for not being at practice, especially the reason that i did hear BUT!!!! do you POTENTIALLY (in this case actually) take away a player that you know given the right circumstance can change a game. WE ALL KNOW it is not about one player - IT IS NEVER ABOUT ONE PLAYER - it is a team, but it has been a significant point in a lot of the games that this team did play that this young lady and she does makes a difference.

Lastly I think that the coaches should have sucked it up, for the potential of the WIN - JUST MY OPINION, it is thier job to WIN!! this isn't rec ball after all!

and i pray that they do not take away her letter - THAT WOULD BE AWEFUL, she didn't get caught drinking or do anything that would deserve something that harsh - IT WAS A SCHOOL EVENT!! for goodness sake! The last Hooray for all the Seniors with only 3 weeks of school left.

I think it was wrong to bench her - I have been told it was noticable on the field and in the duggout with the temperment of the rest of the team. I do not think it ever wold have happened in football!

I believe that the coach did "****ed it up." I can tell you from personal experience that it was most likely a very difficult decision for the coach, not to play a key players. However, what lesson would have been learned by other members of the team, who are not key players, if the coach did not take a stance. What would happen if a non-key player missed practice before the next game and the coached benched her.

As a coach, there is much more to be taught than just winning!

Great game by both teams. Clyde deserves the #3 ranking in the state.

Clyde scored both runs in the 7'th inning and won on a throwing error. Great pitching effort by Lexington by striking out 11 and walking none. Both teams only had 5 hits each.
