Furies over Roadrunners 3-1

Great three games this weekend between these two teams.

I totally agree. The 3 games these 2 teams played this weekend are exactly what it sounds like most teams are looking for. Close games against a team that is just a talented as your own team. where the result is unknown until very late in the game or even until the end of the game. Great pitching, great defense, big hits, lots of oohs and awws from the fans, momentum swings. Even though the Roadrunners hung another loss on our girls, and shut our girls out, I wouldn't trade it for a 10-0 blowout win. I'm serious. 3-0, 5-4, 3-1 scores. And our girls can hit, trust me. As their girls can also. One game ended with a game winning hit in the bottom of the 7th. Another was in doubt until the last pitch. Was a great weekend which kindof turned into a series for these 2 teams. Hope nobody is second guessing their position in the 12u poll. Great team, coaches and fans. Great job Roadrunners. We'll see you in Wheeling again and it'll be the same then as far as close games between our 2 teams. I know your girls will be even more pumped then. Looking forward to it for sure. Plus our coaches/fans were having a few cold ones saturday night with their coaches/fans. Nice, friendly rivalry for the players, coaches, and fans. Nothing better than that.

with out a doubt a very good three games that could have went either way.the hitting by both teams was
awesome.in the winners bracket final game that was decided in the bottom of the seventh the roadrunners had their chance in the top with the score tied 4-4 and #17 for the roadrunners hit a ball that we all thought was in the gap but the furies centerfielder ran like a deer and made a great catch.I believe bases were loaded with to outs.and lets not forget the "DO OVER" in the bottom of the seventh :D :D :D

the furies are a great group of players, coaches parents and fans.see you all in wheeling

I really did forget about the "do over". What a off the wall call that was, huh? That ump was a little off her game for sure. Our first base coach said it was a fair ball because the 1b touched it, but it looked foul to me. But I was over by 3rd base. In any case, was a great 3 games no doubt. Looking forward to it again in wheeling. There will be some other tough competition there with Emeralds Black and Central PA Krunch to name a few, so we're both going to have to do a little more jockeying in that tourney if we hope to get to the finals. Both are very good teams.

does this years Central pa Krunch stack up to last years ? Man they were superb last year. The Krunch Blue won the 12u ASA eastern regionals. Seems like we might have played their 11's last year also and they had a great pitcher. I remember she struck my kid out with a great changeup. The schedule got really screwed up and we played someone after midnight. after waiting around the fields for a 7-8 pm game. It was not good.
Our coaches wanted to forfiet in order to rest up for the next days early games. But the girls wanted to play (as did I) . MD

md, far as I know they should have the same bunch from last years 11u team. and that team was solid. beat our girls twice in 2 close games last summer and we were half 12u/half 11u and not too shabby. The older version from last year moved up from what I can tell. They were extremely talented also. I'm expecting that 11u team from last year at wheeling.
