I have a girl that had to miss softball practice because she had to be at her Jr. High Football practice. She is not a cheerleader, she is a player. My son will play her team this fall.

You better hope that she doesn't beat your son's team. You'd never hear the end of it.

our high school team has a girl that plays soc cer and kicks for the football team.
my younger dd thought about going out for the kicker also because she is the
keeper on the soc cer team and has a good punt.

I often wonder why more O-line coaches are not recruiting from travel softball teams.

We have a girl on our team that plays football......only problem is that she gets confused which sport she is playing and can get a little too rough....We (the coaches) are working on it....she no longer drops a shoulder stealing a base.

As the mother of a 13 year old girl, I would rather not see her on the bottom of a pile of boys!! :-/

seeing a lot of catcher's mentioned in this one. DD is a catcher and thinks it would be soooo cooool to play football. But, that is her brother's game and I won't let her - guess that makes me a bad mom. (By the way - she was a high blue belt in juijitsu before she gave it up for softball)

One of my rostered players this year was a pretty darn good running back and safety for her Junior High school football team. Broke all of the school records in track this year and decided to concentrate on the extra conditioning opportunities some other org's were offering for star track kids, sooooo.....she bailed. :'(

She was learning the slap and drag. Get her on base, steal at will. Hot box (pickle) with her, her stop start agility from playing safety back.... forget about it, like catching a chicken.

Her football (and softball) days are over, but you may see her in the olympics someday... Great kid too. Hated to lose her.
