2009 City of Dayton Fastpitch League SIGNUPS! (updated 03-30-09)

The City of Dayton will be registering teams for the 2009 Girls Fastpitch Leagues, located at Kettering fields, downtown Dayton, Ohio. Last year was our biggest and best year competitively in 6 years. Leagues will fill up fast so make sure you sign up your team early.......

* RETURNING TEAMS League fees due beginning March 3, 2009, 7:00 pm Burkhardt Center
* NEW TEAMS League fees due beginning March 10, 2009, 7:00 pm Burkhardt Center

* League fee: 335.00 includes balls, umpires, individual (shirts/drawstring bags) and team awards, lighted fields.

* Individual player sign ups are also taken and will be placed on a appropriate level team thats available.

* Starts the week of April 27th (5 weeks)

10U 10 game schedule Mon/Wed Rec
10U 10 game schedule Thurs D'blheaders
12U 10 game schedule one night D'blheaders

* All other leagues start the week of June 8th (5 weeks):

14u Lower 10 game schedule Mon/Wed
14u Upper 10 game schedule Tues/Thurs
14u travel 10 game schedule one night D'bleheaders Tuesdays

16u Lower 10 game schedule Mon/Wed
16u Upper 10 game schedule Tues/Thurs
16u travel 10 game schedule one night D'bleheaders Thursdays

18u Lower 10 game schedule one night D'bleheaders Wednesdays
18u Upper 10 game schedule one night D'bleheaders Wednesdays

18over 10 game schedule one night D'bleheaders

I think both, im hoping we fill a 18over league for her to play in, she will help me with the 18u Demarini team, AND she has possibly a 14u rec team she might be coaching!

It was good to see most everyone again Tuesday night. Sounds like there are big plans for the league and we can't wait to get on the field this spring....!

I didn't end up going and emailed Chris that "the weather is so bad I'm not chancing it coming down". Well, the weather was bad, where I work, just outside of Fletcher OH. No one else even had snow, let alone the blizzard conditions we were experiencing. I'm sure he thought I needed to be committed!!

When will the 18u travel play? Or are the 18u travel just a part of the 18u upper? Thanks.....

18u's play doubleheaders on wednesday nights, and yes, 18u travel teams are considered 18u upper along with teams comprised of travel and 1st year college players. 18u lower consisted of school summer teams and a couple area rec teams.

The Vipers 12U weren't in it last season. I know the xpress was though.
There are a lot of teams that are having issues with players and I was wondering who is think about playing this season in 12U.

I talked to Shorty and as of now no decision has been made regarding the fences due to the economic situation with the city, it is still up in the air.

We remember last year, an SDS parent took one to the noggin pretty good. Can't imagine the city paying to put new fencing up though....we can't bring the little ones to cheer on the big sisters because of some of those bullets bouncing around between the backstops!!!
