Not sure how they get the final standings but. Doom eliminated Dreams 8-0 and then Angels 8-3 who eliminated the Riptides?

Fastpitch and Eagle, not that it really matters , but just spoke to NSA Director and she stated the way she runs her tournaments are different than most, she stated you could go 0-3 in pool play and 0-2 in loser's bracket but if you win 1 more game than another team out of bracket play you place higher no matter who you play, she admitted it was more luck of the draw than anything else.So us knocking out Dreams 8-0 and beating Riverfield Angel's 8-2 the game after they eliminated Riptides 3-0 didnt matter ?@%? Go figure NSA !

Moral of story is DON"T PLAY NSA. Every year OFC is filled with gripes about NSA and many promises of sending them a message by not playing NSA tournaments. Here we go again, welcome to 2009.

I don't care what place they say we finished in, I'd go back to this tourney even though it is NSA. The dome is an awesome place to play. We went 5-2 and played some good teams.

John, I thought you guys played great up there. I thought we (Riptides) competed well and will only get better. I love playing at the dome and will play there again regardless of what sanctioning body is holding the tourney. There has never been a let down in the quality of teams that play in that tournament and this year was very good. The only thing I would change would be the 1 hour time limits. This was the first year for that since I started going out there.

I thought all the Ohio teams did a good job. My DD said she had fun and enjoyed playing in the Dome. She is still catching up with her sleep after playing late and getting back to the hotel around 4:00AM both Friday and Saturday night. I had a good time and look forward to playing in the Dome in the future.

Congrats to the HOH Nitro!!!

Also, the facilities and competition at all age groups are always A-1 at the Dome, so this is one place where playing NSA is not a factor in most teams attending. Most play because the competition is top notch and the facilities are top notch and the Doom staff treat famlies/players/coaches very well.

Great tourney. My only knock.. I think tourney director could have done a better job with managing the brackets. Some 3 seeds got a bye while 2 seeds had to play in? Also all other 1 seeds played between 4-6 pm except the Doom..8pm, which turned into 9:30pm. Great competition and some nice Indiana comp. that I can't wait to see outdoors.

I've read all about the trouble with NSA events in Ohio. Residing in the Hoosier state and having been through quite a few years worth of travel ball seasons, I can say with very little hesitation--- in Indiana, there is no reason to avoid NSA events. They have an informative web-site (tournament listings and teams entered), return phone calls and e-mails, usually decent umpires and more often than not strong competition.

While my dd's will probably make the switch to playing primarily ASA next year at the 16U level, the move will only be made due to the reputation ASA has for superior exposure, not because they are a better run organization--at least in Indiana! Bottom line is---if any of you are thinking about coming to Indiana for a tourney this summer as a 14U team or younger--NSA is the best bet for you.

He can keep his JD and Crystal Light. She will love it, he is great to work with and I'm sure he will love giving you a bunch of S!!!!!!. I suggest taking notes and bring a Video camera. My head was spinning after my first trip. I learned as much as she did. Plus if you get bored you can take the cards of the garage door he uses for vision drills ! This won't be anything she is use to. I think Swifty's first lesson was 4 plus hours and she loved every min. of it.
