Best HS Softball Team in Cincy area?

It's ironic that Mason, Lebanon, Colerain, Fairfield or Lakota East hasn't been discussed more... I suspect that they will be the top ranked teams in the area. Glen Este and Edgewood will be tough as well and ranked high.

Mason has won Regionals the past two years and has last year's pitcher, catcher, shortstop and entire outfield back. Hitters one-four are back and every starter plays travel ball.

Lebanon is as talented as any team. Good pitching, defense and can hit.

At Colerain, any time Emily steps on the rubber, they have a chance.

Lakota East and Fairfield competes very well with all of the above mentioned teams and have most of their top players returning.

The GMC has most of their top pitchers returning from last year. In addition the teams mentioned above, Hamilton and Lakota West will be really tough.

Edgewood returns 8 starters and Sara Pierson as the pitcher.

Cincy has the deepest pitching that I can recall. There are several teams with very good pitchers. The teams that play a tough schedule will be knocking each other off and will have a few losses. It will be a terrifice season! (hope the weather helps us...)

We (East Central) play Edgewood on 4/7 should be a great game.
I was wondering if I know any of the girls from travel ball or they possibly see Chip at NKU for lessons

Darrin,

Sara Pearson plays for the Doom. She was not present when your Shock team beat the Doom earlier this Fall. If she was, I don't think she played in the game.

She is very very good. Pitcher and hitter.

Turpin HS is now 3-0 and has outscored their opponents by a margin of 24 - 8. Not too shabby - they will warrant some looks as a team to beat in Cincy this spring.

Looks like a lot of good ball being played by a few schools. Can't wait to see some of these matchups!

Len,

You're right. We've got some real talent right here in Eastern Cincy. GE being this good is no surprise at all to me - I knew they'd be a team to beat, with Benhase and Gregory, et al.

But to me, Milford and Anderson are a huge surprise. But they both have very talented #1 starting pitchers, so as long as their pitching is stellar, they'll have a chance. It just occured to me that every team within a 15 minute drive around me is undefeated besides McNick. Man, this is a good year for fastpitch in the Nati'!

Ross Varsity is 2-0, 29 runs to 0 so far. Still early and they play ad DH tomorrow against Harrison. Pitching isn't too bad either!

Wow, I didn't know those games at the Bash At the Beach tourney down in Cocoa Beach counted toward the actual HS season records! Yikes, that hurts. It's funny that Turpin traveled 18 hours down south to play Madeira on the first day. It says @ Madeira HS on the FAVC web site, but that double-header was at Chain of Lakes Park outside Orlando.

All I can say is I sure hope those teams THS lost to were good. I know Pickerington is huge, but not sure about the Christian Academy school.

Without saying names, I know of one in the 12u ranks that will be pretty good and possibly someone worth watching when the time comes for her to be throwing for Harrison HS. Only one though...

Are some of the EMR ladies from that area?
