I wanted to give a shout out to the following Players' of the Week in the FAVC - Good Job Ladies

Week of April 6th

Shelby Engel
Amelia - Freshman
Softball
Shelby was 1-1 in her two starts this week. She defeated Kings and had 19 strikeouts in a
2-1, 11 inning loss to Western Brown.

Lindsay Roberston
Northwest - Sophomore
Softball
Lindsay hit .400 with 1 double, 2 singles and a home run. Her slugging pct is .800 She has pitched in all three games 21.1 innings and her ERA is 0.33

Rachael Connaughton
Ross - Senior
Softball
Rachael was 7 for 8 with 3 doubles, a triple and 3 RBI's.

Elyse Otten
Walnut Hills - Junior
Softball
In 4 games she went 5 for 10 (.500) with 1 2B and 4 rbi. She also pitched 21 innings with 20 strikeouts and had a 2.00 ERA in 3 games.

Leanna Walsh
Loveland - Sophomore
Softball
Leanna, after returning from an injury, solidified the Tigers defense and lead the team to 3 consecutive victories with a .556 BA, .636 OBP and a .889 SLG %.

Chelsea Hortman
Kings - Senior
Softball
Chelsea pitched both games of our double header in Greenville . The first game was against Celina which was a 3-2 win. She allowed only 4 runs off of 7 hits in the first 5 innings. She then went on the pitch the last two innings, allowing only 2 hits, striking out 3, and forcing the 3 other batters into ground outs and pop ups. While at the plate, she batted 1-2 with an RBI. With a 10 minute break, she went on to pitch against St Vincent Mary which was a 5-2 win. She allowed only 2 runs off of 4 hits and 16 strike outs. While at the bat, she batted 1-4 with a run scored. This was such a tremendous display of an athlete doing all she could for her team since all this was done with a back injury, said Coach Bonner.

Softball
In 6 games (35 innings), Caitlyn has recorded 52 strikeouts and has pitched a shutout. In the two games played the week of April 6, Caitlyn went 4 for 6 at the plate with 2 RBI and a double. On the mound in those two games, Caitlyn racked up 21 strikeouts in 11 innings.

Shelby Richards, So, 3rd Base, leads team in avg.500, and 6 RBI's

Nicolette Hayes
Loveland - Freshman
Softball
Nicolette leads the Tigers with .529 BA (9-17), 9 hits (tied), 5 Sac., and second with a .647 Slugging % and has swiped 4 bases.

Carina Carpenter
Walnut Hills - Junior
Softball
In 4 games this week she went 9 for 15 (.600) with 4 2B, 2 3B, 1 HR, and 12 rbi.

FAVC Athletes of the Week for April 20th, Nice week girls!!

Haley Shuemake
Loveland - Freshman
Softball
Haley, lead the Tigers to 3 wins with a .333 BA, 6 runs, 10 RBIs, .714 Slg% (2 Doubles, 2Home Runs) and played solid defense with 10 Put Outs and 21 Assists.

Carina Carpenter
Walnut Hills - Junior
Softball
In 6 games this week she hit (8-18) with 7 rbi 1 3B, 2 2B. For the season she is hitting .487 (19-39) with 21 rbi, 9 2B, 3 3B, 1 HR and a fielding % of .957.

Lauren Collier
Kings - Junior
Softball
In a 2 day period Lauren pitched all four of our games. Kings played in the Friday Night Lights at Lebanon where she pitched against West Carrollton, striking out 14 in 7 innings. Kings won 1-0. 2 hours later she pitched Kings thru a 9 ininng game against Lebanon. Kings lost that game 1-0. She had 7 Strikes outs. The next day, Lauren pitched a 5 inning game against Sycamore, striking out 10, Kings won 13-3. She pitched her 4th game which was against Anderson, winning 5-1 striking out, 14. At the same time, Lauren, went 5-10 at the plate with 3 doubles.

Kaitlyn became the career leader at Ross with her 25th double on Friday
