Sounds like these guys are going to have a lot more to discuss then January 1st or September 1st.
Unless Donny D is trying to get better odds before making a decision... Maybe holding out for 4-1 odds before approving. LOL
Seriously, this is a very sad situation if even half of this is true.
Sounds like some crazy things going on behind the scenes at USSSA.

Two former employees who filed a civil suit. Nothing more than that. No federal charges or criminal charges as the passing around of the information online would lead you to believe. Just a suit in civil court which will probably take years to get to the bottom of. More than likely someone looking for a quick settlement by naming all of those individuals thinking they will each pay up to make it go away.

They accused some pretty good people of some serious items. I would look for a countersuit in the future.

One is a former IT guy who got let go months back, the other was the CFO who got let go in late July. I do not know the details of their departures but obviously they were not amicable as the civil suit would suggest.

It will have no bearing on the day-to-day operations of USSSA Fastpitch much to the chagrin of our competitors who keep posting this story all over social media. We will still go on with business as usual and will discuss what needs to be done to improve our product and further our business.

I don’t know about that Ohio as exhibit 2 which was filed with the lawsuit offers a lot of validity. IMG_8953.jpeg

And once again for those who seem to have trouble with reading comprehension:

That document is an internal one so obviously someone with an agenda is looking for fodder. Contact the National Office of USSSA if you want any more information regarding this CIVIL matter. I am done with it as it not in my best interest to get in the middle of something that I am not named in nor have any say so in the final decision of the matter.

No, it’s EXHIBIT 2 which was a part of the original filling in federal court in Orlando, Florida and is public record.

So, for well over 3 years the Board of Directors had been aware that the guy running the show was having an adulterous affair with an employee, using illegal drugs, and playing Johnny Bookmaker with business funds.
But this is all competitors, just making stuff up. Look over here, as none of this is true says the man behind the curtain.
Sounds like they need to promote you to head of media, as you sure are very good at trying to make it seem like it is nothing.
It may be a civil suit, but there are felonious accusations in there. Spin it how you like, but everyone with a 3rd grade reading comprehension can smell BS. Not someone I'd want running my organization.

And since you seem to be concerned about the state of business affairs with USSSA, I was just told by my regional manager that this case has been thrown out. He is down at the National office for yearly business meetings and that was discussed for about 2 minutes is what he said. Said it was dropped by the courts and didn't say much more because he said it has no effect on any fast-pitch business and to stay the course and stay in my lane (mind my business) like I always tend to do.

Since you seem to want to launch into me for not making a big deal of it, my point was and is that it will still have no bearing on anything we do in OHIO. It would not effect any events we run, nor would it effect anything other FP directors in our region have going on. That was my point, wait until it all plays out if it even plays out but it won't stop us from putting on the best events we can put on.

I stick to what I have control over and that is what goes on inside these state boundaries which USSSA National steers clear of or they would replace me at some point. If National goes over the line and it starts to grossly effect anything we do, then a decision will be made on what the next move is.

Trust me, this isn't my first day at the rodeo. I have been doing this for over 20+ years and seen them all come and go and eventually will go some day myself but not today or tomorrow.

Oh please Mike tell me you are just that naive. Accusations such as what is levied against USSSA, the CEO, the Chairman of the Board, the legal council, the Michigan state director of baseball and Employee 6 (from the sounds of it could be the baseball state director for Florida as the 3 events mentioned are his) just don't get "thrown out". Though the lawsuit is civil at this point, there is a plethora of criminal activity within the suit and it's only a matter of time. There was an amended version filed in the United States District Court for the Middle District of Florida, Orlando Division on Sept 15th. It's public record if you like to see it for yourself. CASE NO. 6:23-cv-1637-RBD-RMN

Obviously you created your profile in the last few weeks just to chime in on this only so it is not hard to figure out that you have an axe to grind with USSSA. So tell me what team or group in Ohio do you represent in the fast-pitch world?

And tell me once again how this affects the state of fastpitch softball in Ohio for USSSA? What does a civil suit in Florida have to do with our events here? It has no effect whatsoever and you know it.

I'm done with the responses because that just fuels your need to chime back at the only representative of any major softball organization that responds to anything on this board. If you think this will bankrupt USSSA or drive a bunch of people to jump ship to other groups for fastpitch, then you are really an uninformed internet troll.

Sounds like someone has a bone to pick with USSSA. Find something more productive to do with your time.
