Teams can play with their 2009 rosters to qualify for the 2010 USSSA World Series. If a team earns a berth they can use it at their current age group or the next older age group for next season. ie; If a second year 12U team this season earns a berth (finishes 1st or 2nd), they can use that berth for next year's 12U or take it with them to 14U. this will allow teams almost a year to prepare to take the trip to the World Series in Florida next season. Please let me know if anyone has any questions or concerns.

Tournament has been moved from Hunter to Smith Park (an eight field newly refurbished complex) in Middletown (between Cincinnati and Dayton), Ohio. The tournament date is 7-31-09 through 8-2-09 and the registration deadline is 7-17-09. Entry fee is only $375 for a five game guarantee and there are multi-team discounts available.

We are taking teams in all divisions. The rec tournament is still on but we are running it seperate from this tournament all together. I am going to post the tournament teams entered for that next week.

Is there a certain number of teams needed to earn a berth? For example, the 12 U field only has three teams in it according to the list. Will there be two berths in every age group? Do you need a minimum number of teams in an age group to keep that age group in the tournament? Thanks.

We need one more team to keep that division and we will get that. Teams that are listed are paid. We have other interested teams an we need to get to 6 teams in each age group to offer the two berths per division. I will call all teams that have inquired about the tournament this week in an attempt to get all divisions to six teams minimum. I hop that answers the question

The registration deadline is tonight. I have a few out of area teams still very interested in attending the tournament but no paid confirmation yet.

I am guaranteeing schedules to be posted here and on the www.ohiohawks.com/fastpitchfinale website by 7:00 PM Tuesday July 21st for all divisions. Tonight and tomorrow I will start the process of developing pool play brackets. If there are no serious pending teams in a certain age division those game times will go up upon completion this weekend.
