2017-2018 TRYOUTS:

FRIDAY - 8/11 - 6pm-8pm

(When entering the athletic complex main gate take RIGHT around football stadium to the softball field)

If Bad weather (
TRYOUTS WILL NOT RAIN OUT):

METAL CLEATS ARE PERMITTED ON SOFTBALL FIELD. HOWEVER, BRING TENNIS SHOES OR MOLDED CLEATS FOR BATTING CAGE AND FIELD HOUSE DRILLS.

The Warhawks currently consists of one team at every level from 10U to 18U, with the expectation to have two teams at every level in the future. Our players come from the 4 or 5 counties surrounding Oberlin, OH.

We have a talented group of players across all of our rosters and are setting our expectations high. The Warhawks softball philosophy is simple: we want to put players in a position to develop their softball skills and softball IQ while pushing them to work hard to get better every day in an effort to reach their individual potential.

Manager: Brian French - 8 Years tournament coaching experience
Coach (Player Development): Kim Kirkpatrick - Played at Kent State University
Coach (Recruiting Specialist) : Sally Snover - Played at Washington College and coaches at Oberlin College

2017 Runners up - Christmas in July, North Ridgeville, OH

18U Schedule for 2017/2018:
Late NOV-FEB Indoor training/instruction 1-2x per week at Oberlin College
MID-FEB-MAY High School season
JUN-AUG Tournament season + Practice on Oberlin College Softball Field
7 Tournaments all in Ohio (2 Hotel stays per yr)

College recruiting assistance:
We also are committed to getting our players the right level of college recruiting exposure in the hopes that we see them sign a national letter of intent to continue their playing careers in college.
College recruiting assistance can include:
College camp and showcase schedules are distributed to eligible players.
Creating skills videos (not included in player dues)
Guidance to proper communication techniques with college coaches
Targeting college programs that are a good match for a student athlete
