Fastpitch Classic - Toledo results

OHIO WAVE 15U ended up winning the 16U Championship with a 4-1 win over Chain Reaction. They were undefeated on the weekend.

Nice job ladies, what an excellent season you all are putting together. Best of luck in Maryland at the ASA "A" Eastern Nationals.

Wow, great job girls. You all have done a super job. Congrats from the Diamond Dominators 15u. We finished third in the ASA Eastern State Qualifier in Columbus. We had a great time. Good luck at Nationals.

Thanks Scott....we had a great weekend and the girls played their butts off! We were thrilled to go 5-0 in our pool against some very fine teams including the Wizards Elite, Pitts Predators, Team Michigan, SCS Sharks, and Grand Rapids Blaze. Only the top two teams in each pool advanced, so we were in great company from the first game of bracket play this morning. To get to the final we had to beat the Wizards- Drager, Pitts Spirit - Santillo, Amherst Lightning Elite (NY), and Chain Reaction in the championship. It was a scoreless game until the top of the sixth..fine pitching and hitting from both teams...we had a few key hits and some plays that fell our way to put us up.... the Reaction threatened with runners in the bottom of the 7th and scored a run, but we managed to pull it out 4-1. It was very exciting.

I am a parent of the Ohio Wave team and also an asst coach.
I want to say that the Chain Reaction team really is a great team and really is well coached with a ton of class. I know the game did not go the way they would have hoped but they should be proud of what great sports their young ladies are. It is so nice to see athletes play hard,fair and be great sports. The respected their opponents,Coaches ,Umpires and most importantly THE GAME.
