We had our DD and son attending a facility called SOAR a couple years ago. Had to stop due to a change in my job situation, but just starting again this month. They have a facility in Lewis Center and another at the Manninos Grand Slam site in Dublin. I think they are $20-25 a session, so a bit pricey. Seemed to be pretty good when they were doing it. Combination of sports-appropriate strength training and speed/agility/footwork drills.

I agree - Soar is very good and they are very familiar with the needs of softball players. They have been working with grand slam for at least a couple years now.

I concur on SOAR. My DD worked with Zack Mackenzie while they had a sattelite location in Reynoldsburg. Didn't want to drive all the way to Dublin on school nights, so quit. However, I really liked the work he did with her.

Pcaba-coach-both the dd and boy go to SOAR. It's an hour and a half for $20-$25. They gave me a slight discount because they asked me how I found out about them, and when I mentioned a certain batting cage, they give a discount for that, also since the brother was coming for ******, they gave a "family package". Mike is one of the owner's and really watches everything. When he sees a kid lifting weights wrong, or doing a certain leg exercise wrong or not so good, whatever--he will correct them immediately. They'll have your dd keep a record of what she's working on, and they'll alternate her workout. DD has been going there for about a little over a month, twice and week, and she's improved in that little of time greately but now with school in, it'll be probably only once a week along with the pitching lessons, hitting lessons, fall ball and fall practice with her team, and voice lessons, well you get the idea! : ) Hope this helps!

My DD goes to TAD in Newark also. With volleyball she is only able to go once per week, but we are hoping to continue at least once per week through the year. She actually asked to go this summer to improve her speed. She says a lot of drills we have read about to increase speed and many of the drills in the PEP program are done there. They have worked with many athletes who are college bound or attempting to go pro from this area. If you have any questions, you can email them. They are great about responding.

I have to agree Tami, Clint and Lee at TAD provide a pretty good speed and agility class. It will be tough the first couple of times but for the ones that hang with it, it will be worth it. I think last year the cost was about $8 a session.

I will give third this group of trainers! They are very good, both my daughter and son have gone to them in the off season last couple years. They are good and it is a great facility. It is over by us though, which is a little distance from you Pacaba!! It is in the West end of Newark. Let me know if you want anymore info on it, we know them pretty well.

Tami will have one of their S&A instructors come to you and do a workout if you have around 10 people. I know a guy who did this with his basketball team. He had Clint or Tami come to his house and the whole team met there and went through a 1 hour session. My DD's love the classes and their little faces are red and hair soaked after they are finished.
