Well I guess that would be best answered by the people who have been voting on the
TOP 14u TEAM POLLS

I know this is early but I also know there are teams out there that have been playing and are quite sure they will play a tough schedule.
I just wanted to know where some of the better tournaments would be that I dont now about and what teams might be attending them.

We may not be a top team but we aim to compete with the best. So we are going to attend the Ohio States and the Region 9 qualifier. May also attend the open Region 9 qualifier in Canton. Region 9 qualifier conflicts with the Lasers Gold tournament, which is a real shame because otherwise we would apply to the Lasers tournament. We are also applying to Stingrays and GAPSS and probably the new 14U age division in the Best of the Best.

The first week of June presents the hardest choice for us as there are three very good tournaments: The Preseason Classic in Toledo, Doug's Spring Madness in Cincy, and the John Wells Memorial in Zanesville. We're still mulling those over and Zanesville has the benefit of no travel expenses for the players or coaches.

With probably three weekends taken up in ASA/USA qualifying events, it doesn't leave much time for other tournaments.

We are excited that we have three really good competitors set up for a friendly with us the last weekend in May. Because some of our girls may not be released from their high school teams that weekend a one day friendly made more sense to us. Plus we just like friendlies a lot.

Whether Lasers Black will be one of the top 14u teams as a 13 year old team remains to be seen but our current plans are to attend:

War in the Wetlands - Fort Wayne - March
Heart of Ohio - late May
Doom's Spring Madness
Lasers Gold
Whitehall
OFC Heat-in It Up
Stingrays
GAPSS
Eastern Nationals

Still some open dates and some tourneys may change but its starting to come together. We may look to play up at 16u a couple weekends depending on tournaments available.

We are not an OH team, but as one of the better 13U MI teams, (Hurricanes-Green) our current (applied or confirmed) schedule includes:

War In The Wetlands-Ft Wayne Dome
Sparks Invitational
Hurricanes NSA WSQ
Stingrays Exposure
NSA MI State
NSA Nationals Charlotte NC
ASA Eastern Nationals

Obviously very incomplete schedule, but coming together. Looks like we will try to fill the rest of the schedule with a mix of ASA OH and NSA MI tournaments.

Maybe hurricanes should look into the lasers gold tournament. Seems to be on the list for most of the teams here. Will definitely be strong competion based on the list of teams at 14u.

Carol's Buckeye Heat 14u team is a top team no doubt. Go ahead and include your team in there. They are really solid. I don't know enough about the 13's joining the 14u ranks to comment. MD

Would be on the top of our list, but that is the same weekend as our organization's NSA WSQ.

Let me amend my description of the Buckeye Heat 95 schedule. At this point, given the quality of the field, we are leaning towards applying for the Lasers Gold tournament and skipping the Region 9 ASA/USA qualifier.
