Saw this decision made today but still leaving it up to the state directors.
So what will Ohio do with the 16u and 14u tournaments?

I see 16u stay with 43 since nationals will be at that distance, 14u ???

Update Thursday, November 6, 2009

Pitching Distance Changes for 2010

16u - 43ft. optional for state directors in 2010 only, World Series 43ft
14u - 43 ft. optional for state directors with World Series at 40ft.

Jewelry Rule Change.
In effect - hair pins, clips etc along with all jewelry not dreamed to be unsafe by the umpires is allowed.

Attempted Bunt
Bat must be pulled back out of the strike zone or a strike will be called on an attempted bunt.

Fall Rosters
NSA online rosters will be expanded to 25 players on September first in 2010.

So if you keep the bat out and not in the strike zone it's ok....:)

Guess that would be the umpires judgement if the bat is in or out of the zone. I would guess if you don't pull it back, no matter where the bat is you will be called a strike.

Are sparkle headbands "dreamed" unsafe by an umpire?

I know how many of us feel about the NSA/ASA battle but whether it is liked or not there still are NSA tourneys in every state. And teams cross state borders to play so it would be nice to know when working with players, what distance, what ages, what sanctions and what states are doing.

Good to see there are still comrades in the boycott Ohio NSA movement.

I'm having an NSA WS qualifier so the teams can go to the World Series in Columbus.

Just kidding, CGS .. just kidding.

After the last state's disaster at Tealtown and me offering up Goshen and Wilmington on Saturday to help the teams playing in it and being told, " We've got it handled" ... and the way things ended up.. THEY have a long road back in Ohio... a VERY LONG ROAD BACK.
