That I don't know for sure, but if I has to assume (hate that word) I would say it is permanent. Awful lot of airfare for just the winter.

If this certain girl is who I think it is my daughter has about 10 first place 10U trophies because she was on her team. Our defense was brilliant...at least the 2 balls the other team made contact with the entire game. You could see at that time she had an excellent future. is it BF?

Len, yes it is BF. My dd just confirmed with her that the move is permanent and not just for the winter.

Back to our regularly scheduled program(Thread...)

I believe some NEW & Revamped/Renamed teams will be a surprise this year as it seems last summer several talented teams broke up and left a lottery of talented girls available in which many joined existing, new, or revamped teams. Some I know of:

* Ohio Hawks14u - Revamped & renamed to Ohio Hawks Gold14u
* Laser Orange16u - Revamped and Renamed to Laser Akadema Gold18u
* OH Intensity14u - New & already renamed from Outlaws

There's another NEW 13/14u team with Dayton/Cinci/Columbus combined talent that I'm forgetting but had some nice success as a NEW team this last fall.... MOMTO77's might be able to add this one to the list.

Also wondering how Laser Gold(13u) is shaping up after their HUGE success at GAPSS 14u as a 12u team last year.??????

:mad:THANKS for making this something to argue about. Thought it would be cool to see the improvements teams made. Wanted coaches and parents to get on here and build up there progams. It would have been interesting to see and learn more about the programs that I don't know much about.:p

And obviously the Laser94 team has become a SUPER TEAM at 16u.

The other team I couldn't remember earlier is new, and believe they are the Miami Valley Vipers, which had some good showings this fall too at 14u.

Doom96 kicked butt at QDS getting a 3rd down there as a 13u team was a great accomplishment.

EMR keeps producing quality teams at each age group

Look out for Ohio Hawks Across the board. I know Doug wants to be a sleeper, but knowing what they are doing and who they've picked up they should be solid from 10u-16u no doubt.

Whatever happened to the self proclaimed greatest teams Phoenix out of central Ohio

Come on Fastpitch ease up a bit.... No doubt everyone in their own minds think what team is the greatest, no need to stir the pot... Pheonix has a good organization, puts on some decent tournaments and one can say just like any organization is at least trying to do something for today's youth... Never played for them, but know kids who have nothing more...

I heard that they only have 1 team this year and it is u18 team. Yes they do put on good tournaments but last year they skipped out on Port a Johns It was a mess. I hope if they have anymore tournaments that they bring in some, if not I will high recommend to our coach not going. It was BAD......... I ask the tourney director where they where he stated to me us pheonix people do not need them we have our campers! Did not see the need into getting some cause the league that has the park all year had 3 there all ready. OK that was good all weekend with about 500 people give or take and they was not cleaned out ............ Ok back to comment yes 1 team for pheonix this yr. U 18 I have friends was with them for couple of yrs. told me that........

Geez, the thought while I was scrolling through this that Lasers Black had picked up 5 former Slammers was WAY more effective at waking me up than my cup of coffee. Glad to realize later on that it is probably the Lasers94 team that got those girls. So at least for this year it's not a headache for us.

M.D.: thanks for the kind words. We have indeed picked up some fine talent that has meshed very well with our core of proven players. We're looking forward to the summer but are also grappling with the fact that this year because of high school we won't be able to have any spring practices, tournaments, etc. I hate when they get old . . . :)

CGS, You think you were surprised !!!, I couldn't wait till our indoor game Saturday night...

MD, We (Lasers Black 13u) did add 'two' great pitchers/hitters and all-around good kids, thanks MD for noticing. Best part, great families!

Thanks TRIPLETHREAT for mentioning our 14 u team.
The MIAMI VALLEY VIPERS
We have a very promising group of girls with great families and coaches.
We are still looking for a skilled pitcher to help the one we have.
Excellent opportunity for the right girl and family.

I knew of one Wild Thang child ! MD

I guess technically its three - I need to learn how to count again.

The one your thinking - great kid/great player - its like she's played for us forever.

The second is the pitcher that went to Nationals with us - doom 96 (2 years ago) / lasers blue (last year). We knew what we were getting based on her great performance at nationals.

Last one is another former Wild Thang from years gone by - sound player, gives us tremendous flexibility defensively behind the plate, 3rd and up the middle without missing a beat.
