I did see Jessica Mendoza make a similar catch. We were watching the USA team practicing at Notre Dame softball field. She ran up the outfield fence to catch a fly ball. Then she turn to the coach, who was hitting fly balls and said is that all you got.
She took one step up the fence about three feet up and leaped up and caught the ball, very smooth and graceful catch and this was real catch not a commercial.
