This event was formerly called the Shoot Out..due to circumstances, it is now hosting the USSSA Ohio Southern State Championships for 12u and 14u teams.

We welcome all teams to come to beautiful Rotary Park and experience USSSA Championship play. There will be NO gate fees, no parking fees.

What is the pitching distance going to be for the 14U? I thought I read somewhere that it was going to be 43' at all the Rotary Park events.... is this correct?

With this being a state tournament, I'm sure (I hope) USSSA would not let "park rules" come into play. 14U is still 40' in 2010.

I thought I read in a privious thread that USSSA was considering changing 14U to 43' for 2010?

I found the thread.... it says the pitching distance is optional for 2010. I'm guessing they'll keep it at 40' this year.....

I am doing the field maint for this event and can tell you it is 40 Ft for all 14U events @Rotary. The 15/16/18U tournaments are at 43 ft.

Thanks Bob for clearing up the pitch distance questions.

As far as teams...to keep to the 5 game format, 12 in each age would be perfect. We can go 10 in the 12s and 14 in the 14s if need be.

As far as deadline, check the team list on the first post and we already have 8 12s, and 10 14s....so, I would suggest an early commitment.
