The winner of the 14u event will be invited to the "Diamonds In The Rough" College Scimmages and Showcase to be held in Vienna/Parkersburg, West Virginia on Saturday, September 25th. The link to the event is: http://www.game-ex.com/vb3/showthread.php?t=26548.

Akron Racers President/General Manager has invited the other pro owners and managers to attend this event which in turn should bring in the major colleges to attend as well.

The event is a USSSA sanctioned event.

Will have to give it up to the 14u Miami Valley Vipers for a nice 3rd place finish in a very tough game against the OFC team . Great Job girls not only for the finish and getting the Bid to the Series, but on the way you played and carried yourselves all the way through the tourney.. Think the Game you all played went 8 or 9 innings in ITB. Tough!! Keep it up.

Ohio Classics 11u took first,
Static 11u took 2nd.

Not sure the official 3rd and forth placings but I think 3rd went to OFC Blast and 4th Doom 98. Someone please confirm.

Tough weekend and my hats off to the Classics 11u!!! Very nice work to all!!!

In 14U OFC , coming out of loser's bracket, defeated Cincy Static twice to win the title.

I also have to give a shout out to the third baseman for the Doom, this is one tough kid in the field and at the plate. Knows the game well and is great in all aspects- fielding, throwing,hitting and probably the most important to me as a coach - her attitude. It was fun chatting with her in between innings. Nice job by the Doom team and goodluck this year.

she's a warrior. I too have to commend her approach. She subbed for us a couple weeks ago and aside from her postive outlook, she is a joy to watch as she give 150% all the time.

Thanks for the props and I must say that the competition from everyone we faced was brutal. Going into two ITB's was a first for us let alone only 1 ever with this team. Could not of been more proud to see us fight all the time. Thanks to the Danger, Blast, Wave, and Classics... you guys all are the real deal and have a class program to say the least. Wish we could have seen some other teams but having so many in our pools and brackets... well, can't complain. Just saying... thanks and Congrats to all in the top 4 in 12's and 14's.

Matt, I must also second your lead in thanking Terry. Very well run tournament and the umps were good as well. Only had one ump that had a strike zone the size of an engagement ring box... I think he was on another planet at times but nevertheless we adjusted as trained and did really good with it on offense and defense. That's more of a comment than a complaint. Times were never really far behind if at all even with us trying to go longer by adding the ITB's to the mix. I applaud the grounds crew too. Thanks guys!

Thanks to Terry for a well run tourney and Mother Nature for the sun......Congrats to the Blast for coming from the losers bracket and winning the 14U division..The Static did a great job all weekend but came up short in the end..2nd place not bad after winning the Tealtown tournament last weekend....Special mention to the Vipers #13 Allen for some gritty pitching and unbelievable manners.

I agree with all the above post: great run tourney, great weather, great competition and even more important great sportsmanship!!!! Hats off to my OFC Blast girls coming out of the losers bracket to beat a very good Static team. I don't know about anyone else but I'm sure glad I had today off.
