Due to NCAA regulations, the NFCA will not be allowed to hold a recruiting camp on a college campus. So, the July 8th NFCA Camp will be moved from OSU's Fred Beekman Park to the Pickerington Central High School Softball Complex, 300 Opportunity Way, Pickerington, OH 43147-1296. We apologize for any inconvenience this may cause interested teams and athletes.

The NFCA camp application must be completed online between the dates of February 1 and April 26. Please go to http://www.nfca.org/camps/ to access and complete the application.

Registration is open to athletes of NFCA member coaches @ 10:00 CST on February 1st. Starting on February 15th, registration is open to all athletes.

In 2009, the NFCA administered and endorsed camps together attracted more than 6,000 applicants and 1,000 college coaches from around the country. Don't miss this opportunity in 2010 to showcase your softball skills to the large population of college coaches who will be scouting this Camp. Coaches registered to recruit at the July 8th NFCA camp will be listed on the NFCA website by early June @ www.NFCA.org

The recruiting camp is divided into the following sessions:

Outfielders/Catchers: 8:30 a.m. - 11:25 a.m.
Pitchers: 11:30 a.m. - 2:25 p.m.
Infielders: 2:25 p.m. - 5:20 p.m.

Please submit your application based on the softball position to be showcased. All applicants will be contacted shortly after the April 26 application deadline with information related to camp status. No payment is required until after April 26 when the letter of acceptance is received.

Additional information is located on the NFCA website as indicated above. The FAQ page provides answers to most of the commonly asked camp questions.

Please remember that the NFCA Recruiting Camp is administered by the NFCA, not the Ohio Stingrays Tournament staff.

Address all camp questions to Michelle LaBella by emailing michelle@nfca.org or calling 662-320-2155.

I have it if you want to see what's on it, but I think they want you apply on ine. I heard from another parent who was having problems finding the application. I'm wondering if the number of people trying to apply crashed that part of the site? Sorta doubtful, but . . .

Send me a PM if you want what I downloaded before Feb 1, though it might not be completely up to date.

If you are not an NFCA member and are trying to access the application from the camp web site @ http://www.nfca.org/pagebank/?id=1451, that link, which is for the general softball public, will not be active until February 15th.

If you are an NFCA member, you should have been sent a hidden link via e-mail last week that will allow registration starting today February 1st. I know the NFCA member link works, at least to get to the application.

Since this camp is administered by the NFCA, if you have any questions beyond this, then you should contact Michelle LaBella at michelle@nfca.org.

The 'hidden' link provided, does NOT work...!

OK, I was obviously thinking about the camp brochure when I made my post above. We haven't been able to get to the application, but that's because Ted has not received his hidden link (or it got eaten by his junk mail filter).

I just checked the "hidden" link that I was e-mailed from a Scott Walters on the 25th and I can get to the camp application. I know that doesn't help you Centerville FP. I will call Michelle LaBella and see if I can find out what is going on.

For any problems with the "hidden" link or other registration issues, e-mail Michelle LaBella at michelle@nfca.org or call her at 662-320-2155. I just spoke with her and from the NFCA end, the link seems to be working. For NFCA members that may not have received that original e-mail from Scott Walters, e-mail Michelle and she will e-mail you the link.

I too have heard from NFCA. Ted’s name was on the original email list, so who knows where in cyberspace it got bypassed. The hidden link for NFCA Coaches only is working, because NFCA has already received many, many applications. As always, the NFCA got back to me immediately with a helpful response.
