I think they should be about as competitive as last year. The OHSAA made the decision to let athletes return to the schools who had athletes leave because of levy failures. With softball, it'll probably be more of a question of whether a school lost key athletes to graduation. With sports such as basketball and football this may not be the case.
The basketball teams have been struggling and come fall we'll see how the levy failure and the loss of 1 year of play, affects the football teams. I think that programs that had weaker teams, to begin with, will still struggle, but those with stronger programs will do okay this year. It'll take years for some of these programs to recover from the levy failure.
