Below is some background on the lead instructors for the Perry Clinic:

Radara McHugh:

The Akron Racers added former pitching ace, Radara McHugh, to the Racers coaching staff for the 2009 season. McHugh was charged with developing a young pitching staff that included three premier rookie pitchers DJ Mathis (Oklahoma), Brittany Weil (Iowa) and Lisa Norris (North Carolina). In addition to her coaching assignment, McHugh became the Racers first Director of Clinics.
McHugh had left North Carolina as the program?s career record holder for wins (88), appearances (150), starts (130), innings pitched (861.2), shutouts (46) and strikeouts (686). She was also selected to ACC Top 50 Anniversary Team. Radara was the winning pitcher in the Women?s ASA Open Nationals and the Atlantic Coast Conference (ACC) in 2004. Her senior year at University of North Carolina is the only year for UNC to have ever won the ACC conference tournament in the history of the program.
McHugh has been a vital part of the Racers pitching staff for the past five seasons. She was the winning pitcher in the Racers come-from-behind win (5-4) over the Chicago Bandits to claim Akron?s first National Pro Fastpitch Championship in 2005.
McHugh has inked her name in the NPF record book, claiming the top honor for wins with 48 and innings pitched with 529.2. Her 48-23 record gives her one of the best career marks in NPF history. She has enjoyed one of the longest careers of any pitcher in the circle, rounding out five years of service with the Racers.

LeAnn Fonner:

LeAnn is in her sixth year as the Head Softball Coach and Physical Education Teacher for Solon High School. She graduated from Kent State University and played third base for the Golden Flashes. Accolades include the Golden Flashes placing third in the D3 WCWS. Fonner was named to the first team All MAC 1999, All Academic MAC 1999, second team All MAC 2001, and to the NFCA 2001 Division 1 All-Region team (Mid-East Region).
Fonner was an Assistant Coach at Muskingum College helping to guide the Muskies to a fourth place finish at the NCAA Division 3 National Championship in 2004. Her team ended the season with a 43-7 record, the fifth straight year the Muskies have won 40 or more games. Her team won the Ohio Athletic Conference for the seventh straight season and made its third appearance in the national tournament in four years. The Muskies coaching staff was named NFCA Regional Coaching Staff of the year for 2003 and 2004.
Growing up, Fonner played for the 14U Maddogs, placing eighth at Nationals and, at 16U, placing 14th at Nationals.
Together, McHugh and Fonner provide an unparalleled combination of experience as they continue to teach the offensive and defensive fundamentals fastpitch softball.

Wasnt she once the Akron racers coach?

McHugh was the pitching coach for the Racers last year. Her bio pretty much sums up her career to date.

She did one of these clinics back in the fall of 2009 and the feedback from players and parents was very positive. ]

With the instructors lined up, I would expect this clinic to be a great experience for all who attend.
