Yea what a bummer..Not sure why the 1:30 and 3:30 games were not on
It was not a bad day at all today We played at the JV level In Perrysburg.... Feild was in GREAT shape, the weather was fine and The hot dogs were good.
Thanks to the PBurg JV team and there parents for a nice day...just wish we would have played better...lol...

Hey Brian- reason the League commissioners called it off was: 1. bus issues with holding up the first round 2. prom dates

I think they should consider next year, having all games played at say 9:30am with a 1:00 raindate. The reason they didn't do this prior was that they wanted all games on the short fields. Maybe we can talk SGS to making their fences available, if we put all games on at once? wouldn't be as fun to watch both sessions, but make it work better with bus/late day commitments.

Some great teams, players and coaches in NWO. But don't even think of spitting on a ballfield up there, they will cancel your game because its to wet.;&

Good to see you continue with all of your positive comments on NWO fastpitch!! By the looks of the lack of scores posted, it would appear there were games cancelled all over the state yesterday. And despite your comments, there were several games played in NWO. I know Archbold got in a DH with Elmwood and yes - that was played on a field in NWO.

IT WASN"T THE FIELD!!!! Fields were playable, but they couldn't start games before 11am with the rain coming down and schools have bus issues, and SOME schools scheduled in the morning had prom that afternoon. I was scheduled for PM session, I wish in hindsight they'd just let us play and drop the NLL/TCL moniker for the weekend, but hindsight is 20/20 and the league commisioners were trying to be fair to all. These high school mega events are hard to pull off, they are not like summer tournaments, were they just say "show up at 3:00pm to start games, games will be 1 hour long drop dead". These games are ruled by OHSAA rules, that's what makes high school ball special.

Also, MANY places can get one field ready, when you are talking about 4-8 fields, that is a bigger hurdle.

maumee. I did not think about the prom thing that makes sense. The transpotation issue is something that could be an issue too.
I do know there would have been NO way anyone would have played at 9:30 or 11:30 ...We started at noon in PBurg... but like maumee said it was only one feild to get ready ...Not 4 to 8....
