Kenzie Nelsen from Dublin Scioto recieved 1st team All-OCC. She finished the season with a .457 batting average with a very tough schedule. She pitched about 3/4ths of the season, sharing time with Sophomore Paige Heasley, and recorded 161 strikeouts. She is a freshman.

Michelle Mazur, Freshman, Turpin High School, Scholar/Athlete award.

Scholar Athlete Award as dual Varsity Letterman as Freshman. A tremendous feet as Competetive(US) swimming and Travel Fastpitch are both 11 months a year. Not sure how she manages her time to get great grades and compete at the highest levels in both her sports.

Also received THE softball from her "FIRST VARSITY HIT" ^_^, which Dad didn't have to wait to long for as it occurred in her first game up. Proud to mention it was against Milford's accomplished D1 bound pitcher(Sara Ally), as that makes it all that more special. Sara beaned her the next time they played in a 1-0 game in the 6th. ( I know it wasn't intentional, but over the years, I'm sure I'll tell the story that way...LOL!)

Congratulations to Kalene! Well deserved. Props to Cindy, Abby, Andi, Carly, Emi, Kimmi, and Huck too for all of their awards. :)

TBone received 2nd team OCC. Not too shabby when you consider she's up against powerhouses like Marcum (Mt. Vernon) and Roudabush (H. Bradley).

Also, my niece, Alaina (aka Wheels) earned her Varsity letter as a freshman...she literally played every single inning, every single game at 3rd base. I couldn't be more proud of her!

Congratulations to all the girls who work hard at what they do on and off the field.

Hunley and Musselman are both from Brookville. The article is sort of misleading.
