Ohio Glory went 1 and 1 in pool play beating Hawks '98 7-1 and losing to Lasers Red 8-3

Lost first game of elimination to Cincy Static 10-2 in 5

We came to play on Sunday beating Buckeye Heat '97 11-1, Lasers Orange 11-7, Ohio Ice 6-4.
Lost to Static 4-1 in losers bracket final... Some very good teams, but proud of our girls for the run we made on Sunday.

Very nice tournament and good to play in a tournament where you can play full games. All good teams and just proud of the effort our young ladies gave to finish 3rd.

Congrats to the Lasers Red. You guys are true winners! Wow. I'm sure you have Kavin dancing in his shoes knowing how competitive he is and how hard his girls play. Congrats!!

First, I want to thank Coach Doug Lenos and the Hawks organization on a great job running the Dayton Metro tourney. They did a fantastic job this weekend. All games ran on time and the facilities and umpires were great. The 12U field was, as advertised, very tough. I would also like to send congrats to the Laser Red for an outstanding played tourney. They have some of the best players, coaches and fans I have seen. They are a class act all the way. It is a well deserved championship for them.

Last, I wanted to send congrats to our Cincy Static players for a tough played tourney. They played hard all weekend against some of the best. I was very proud to end up with the showing that we did, 2nd place in this field is an accomplishment in itself.

dd played in this tournament this weekend and I went over to watch one of the 12U teams from a top organization I heard was suppose to be pretty good. Looked like a bunch of good ball players on the field, but the parents - WOW. Pacing up and down the fence - complaining about the coach - complaining about where their kid was playing - complaining about who was on the bench. Feel sorry for those girls on the field.

Kudos go to Dayton Metro Commissioner - Clyde Brewer and his sidekick - Lou! They are the best, they fixed anything I messed up before I knew it was messed up..:lmao:

Thanks to all the Parents - this strong showing of teams, great play, great behavior by all was much apprecaited and will go along way towards us getting an opportunity to hold the same thing (and maybe even bigger in terms of more berths in June next year...)

I just want to reiterate what T80WULLY mentioned. Outstanding job by Doug & the Hawks orgainzation for putting on a great tourney. the competition, officating, facilities, parent were all top notch. My only complaint that I would ask Doug to do in the future would be to not have August weather in May :)

Again, great weekend of softball & thanks again to the Hawks for hosting!!

It was also a pleasure to get to talk to a lot of the Orange parents this weekend, class act all the way!!!

You posted this same exact thing over in the other Dayton Metro tourney thread about four hours ago. I guess since you couldn't get something stirred up there you're going to try again in this thread?

back off Jack...you gotta dog in this fight or what?
