Wow! What great game's at Dayton this weekend. Some of the best game's i've ever watched, esp. 14u, not sure of how many ITB game's there were, Heard 7 not sure, could'nt believe how evenly matched the top 5-6 team's were. Was wondering what was some of the best moment's and play's that you witnessed. The game that I really enjoyed was the Indy Blast, and eventual champion Mountain Thunder. Thunder was down 6-1 in the 6th and scored 5 to tie, then winning it in the 7th. Great Game thunder never gave up their fan's would'nt let them Congrat's to Thunder and the Laser's black.

Hi George.. the girl that trew the last/Champ game last night was great to watch .. she was a small girl but with a giant heart.. her ball movement and change of speed to keep the Lasers off balance was a thing of beauty .. what I came away with was this - there is a fine line of difference seperating the top teams - the deciding factor often is the speed at which the players make decisions on the field - the ones that don't heistate and are not afraid to throw the ball or take the extra base often rose to the top.

From the yelling and screaming I heard coming out of the park where the girls played ( as I was umpiring in the park in a men's event).... sounds to me as if there was some very exciting games. I had mens catchers asking me... " What's going on down there?" to which I replied..." Only the toughest 14u bracket I have seen in awhile playing for a National berth".

It was excellent. There is so much that my Hawks 95 team will take from this.

Talked to a lot of great folks. Teams from W Virginia, and our teams from Ohio made for truly a tough tournament. For being a new team just forming this year, we had some bright spots and a lot of things that we surely could see where we need to improve.

I really enjoyed talking to the Lasers pitchers dad's from both the 14u Black and 11u. They were great to talk with.

I was especially happy with our game against Lasers Black. It was a tight game until the end where the Lasers scored a couple runs late to beat us 6-3.

It was great to see this quality of softball so early in the season.

7in softball is a whole diff game than speed ball.. depth matters - deep teams start to bubble up to the top ... I love it ...

12U was tough too but not nearly as many close games, as 14u

Now jasbo no one said 12u field was competative just alot more closer games in the 14u, Seem like every game was ITB.
