great great showing by the remaining 3 ohio teams. assured of nothing worse than a top 36 out of 155 (maybe better open to argument) anyway huge props to Buckeye Heat , they beat two very good teams (maybe a 3rd ??) in the Worth Prospects and Cali Grapettes. John Cooper is a mad man. any team having more fun than that might be illegal. way to go heat.

Doom 96er's , man what can you say . John miller can coach this game folks. They tamed 1/ 2of Georgia today.

Doom 95 , 2 grind it out specials, both games tight tight tight . Get a 1-0 win over Vienna Stars then a 6-1 or 6-2 game over Central Florida Wildfire. Emily Anderson has just been so good in the circle. Only giving up something like 2-0-1 and 1 the past 4 games.

Oh how much I wish I had been able to make the trip. Going crazy here with no update on games. We love the Doom organization and can't say enough about their coaches. And we are honored to still be there on the same day as Doom teams. I so want Doom 96 to beat the Corona Angels. Those girls definitely deserve that. And Cincy Doom 95 just keeps getting it done. Hope we get a little headwind from their success. But if it ends today for Buckeye Heat 95 what a great great accomplishment. We tried to play the best all summer and it wasn't easy for the girls. But I think the fact they haven't been blown out by anyone at ASA/USA Nationals tells us that Ohio's best can prepare us to face the country's best. The Buckeye Heat thanks the Doom teams, the Lasers teams, the Ohio Ice, the Intensity (I never knew a LOSS would give our players such a boost in confidence), Champion Fastpitch, the Stingrays and all the other organizations who raise the bar. I apologize for leaving anyone out

omg Buckeye Heat wins another. I only wish I could report that Cincy Doom beat Corona Angels. Takes a lot of the pleasure out of the Heat win.

Doesn't look good for Buckeye Heat this game. Scored in the first inning but that was it and time is taking its toll. I trust Ted to tell them how wonderful they played in this tournament. One can never be sure that a team will get to go to even one ASA/USA nationals, let alone compete as well as they have. Holding out hope that Doom 95 is still in this thing.

Buckeye Heat out. 8-3. Tough loss but I think most of the girls will feel more than ok about themselves as they come back to Ohio. Still trying to find out about Cincy Doom 95 game.

Doom 95 was eliminated in their next game. Congratulations to both Doom teams and Buckeye Heat for very strong showings.

My unofficial order of finish for Ohio teams:

17th Doom 95
25th Buckeye Heat
33rd Doom 96
65th Lasers Black
97th Intensity
129 Stingrays

BTW, SD Thunder finished 49th and WV Mountain Thunder 97th.

Ah spoot it looks like Cincy Doom 95 is done. Will have to wait until Dan can give us an update but bracket says they lost 5 to 1 to Atlanta Vipers. Last Ohio team in. A great run for them.

What say we all try this thing again in Chattanooga next year? I might even get to come! And if Buckeye Heat doesn't qualify, we will be at Eastern or Northern Nationals. Just have to keep getting better by playing the best we can find.
