Fifth for the tournament. We are so proud of them. I think they will find a way to Chattannoga next year that might make it hard for us to follow. But that is why they are the bigger sisters.

I kept posting how good this team was in the 16U polls. Our 15U team got to play them twice this year and , sure was nice to see them go on to win it, after knocking us into the loser bracket at York,. Nice job Ohio.

This is part of the order of finish..

1. Tigerlillies 7-1
2. WNY New Era Diamond Girls 7-2
3. Ulster Fillies 16U 8-2
4. CT Eliminators 6-2
5. Buckeye Heat 94s - Clark 4-2
5. Jersey Insanity 4-2

It is interesting to note that the Buckeye Heat 94s defeated the Ulster Fillies and the CT Eliminators in bracket play.

What a fun experience.

Congratulations to the Tigerlillies for winning the championship! They played great and dug in to win that nail biting championship game over a very good New Era team. The New Era program from Buffalo has started to make a name for itself. It's 12U team won the Nationals this weekend in York and it had a 2nd and 7th place finish at the 16's. (The 7th place finisher was a younger team that had been the 2nd place finisher at the 14U's in Sterling last year).

We know you were, one of your coaches was watching as we were behind and they told our players not to worry, we would pull it out...and we did. That is how things are supposed to be! All the postings about steering clear of bad teams, the Buckeye Heat is great one to look FOR!

I will tell you this... Ohio was well represented by the teams that attended. They showed class, talent, sportsmanship and solidarity. I heard so many nice comments about the Ohio teams this weekend. It made me proud.

Congratulations to the Tigerlillies, what an accomplishment. We are extremely proud Ohio took home the championship.

Buckeye Heat 94's, watched part of one of your games and was amazed on how your team was playing. Congrats Johnnies and 15heat, well deserved finish. Can't wait until next year to see what this team is capable of.... I enjoyed talking with both of you.

The Cyclones finished tied for 17th, went 3-3 for the week. We were in every game and was just a hit away in each game from advancing. The game with Rochester Slammers was a classic, but came up short in ITB.
