Thanks Jeff! We do these tournaments as a fundraiser for our girls, but there is no need to be greedy. I think it is more important to put on a good event and take care of the teams first. If we do both of these then the money for the girls will follow.

BFD,

Give it time. I have had many verbals from teams (about 5 in the 12u division), but I do not list them until I receive their paperwork. I am guessing in the next week or two I should start getting a bevy of entries on a daily basis. At least that is the way it went last year.

By the way, you can find a list of the teams from last year as well as the results HERE.

Thank you for the props, we try to put on a 1st class event.

Something that many overlook is the "Home Cooking" factor, those that have been around a while know what I mean. When I put together pools and brackets the only consideration our teams get is related to game time. This is simply so we ensure we have enough workers to cover everything. Our teams do not get the easy road as you might find from many tournaments.

You can look at both the Maple Leaf and Cinderella Classic pools and brackets from last year to verify this. Click HERE

14u age bracket is looking good! Hopefully more 10u teams jump in there.

Barry,

I keep looking for more 10u & 18u teams too. The entry form was downloaded 45 times over the last week. Let's hope that some of those will fill it in. LoL I'm sure the 10u will be fine, not to worry.

Seems like 10U groups are not filling up on a lot of tournaments. My guess we'll begin to see them start signing up.

I'm very confident we'll be okay. The 10u did fill up later last year as well. Much smaller pool of teams at 10u & 18u.

I'm sure these age groups will begin to fill up. Our 10U bracket had many teams in it. Looking forward to playing there again this June.

Greg,

I placed a special order for no tornadoes this year.;&

I'm looking for a good amount of registrations over the next couple weeks. I have had a crazy amount of verbals, but I decided not to post verbals only hard copy registrations.

Yes, We will have the Toll Free rainout line again this year.

We are also looking at a way to use this line to let Coaches know when they play on Sunday after pool play finishes on Saturday.

Since I will be there, you better have a rainout line available, lol. Good chance there will be some rain. :D

Barry,

It rained on both Friday and Saturday last year and we kept all games on time and didn't miss a beat. Games were not shortened thanks to the great ground crew we had, made up of both parents and the parks own ground crew. It helped that we had 8 pallets of diamond dry onsite and ready to go.

Hmmm ... Barry, given that the rain seems to follow wherever you go, is it possible you work for a diamond dry company?? ;)

I was thinking we should pay Barry to visit all the rest of the NEO tournaments on our weekend.:lmao::lmao:

Let's see how they all handle the rain. We proved ourself last year when all our games on Friday and Saturday were ontime and complete, despite all the rain we had.

Any team that enters the tournament that is not able to field a team due to too many players still playing for state HS championships will be given a full refund. No reason not to enter, you have nothing to lose.

Take a look at who played in the tournament last year, how they did and what the scores were HERE

You can also get registration forms for this year's event there too. Teams entered this year are at the top of the thread.

Placed a speacial order for no tornados on Sunday morning this year.

You must be banning me and my team on sunday if you are making this promise, lol. We are in Medina today at Pinnacle and now they are calling for up to 6 inches of snow and some ice mixture also.
Here is a pic I took from this summer up at East Harbor. It was sunny and mid 80`s all day long, just a perfect day. No clouds all day long. Just this ONE cloud came in and look what it produced over the campsites. It didnt touch though.

Mutli-Team discount applies to more than a single team on one check. Please read earlier in this thread for an example of how it works and the $$ it can save your teams.

We do not charge an individual gate fee at either of our tournaments. If you want to bring out a van full to watch the games you pay only to park. read earlier in the thread for parking options.

NO PORTA-JOHNS!!! We have three (3) brick-n-mortar restrooms and Three concession stands. And we actually have staff whose sole job is to keep the restrooms clean and supplied.

We had 8 pallets of diamond dry onsite for both of our tournaments last year. The rain did not affect us, we played all games on time on Friday and Saturday. This was accomplished by having a dedicated staff and because we hire the city crews to ensure things run smoothly. The tornados on Sunday were a different story, but safety is paramount with us.

We offer a PAID berth to eastern nationals to the winner in each age group. That's $425 to pay your entry fee, tell me that doesn't help a teams budget in this economy. Last year we paid for teams from the Ice, Tigerlillies, Valley Extreme and NEO Dynamite to attend nationals. This year it may be you!
