A very solid ran tournament this past summer. Nicest fields in that area!

Pat,

We do host our tournaments as a fundraiser for our girls, but we do offer several ways to reduce your teams cost; Multi-team discount, pre-paid parking and team parking passes (best deal).

The team parking pass will get your team 15 weekend passes for $90, that's $6 per pass/$2 per day for as many people as you can fit in a car. You also get up to 3 coaches passes with your entry.

We could do away with parking if we didn't give out almost $5k in prizes for each tournament.

FAQ's

Q: Do I have to wait until I get my ASA# before sending in my registration?
A: No, you can send in your registration now to ensure you have a spot and email me your ASA# when you get it.

Q: Do I need to have my roster complete before I send in my registration?
A: No, as long as I have your roster at least 7 days prior to the start of the tournament things are good. The sooner I can get it the better, the T-shirts have all the girls names on them and we like to make sure we get every one.

Q: Do I have to send in the waiver in with my registration?
A: No, just have it completed and available at check-in along with your proof of insurance.

Q: Do I have to order Parking passes at the same time as sending in my registration?
A: No, they can be sent in separately. We do like to get them by the published deadline so we can mail them out in time for the coaches to distribute them to their players.

Q: Are dogs permitted at the fields?
A: The city does allow dogs at the fields, but we ask that you clean-up after them and they must be okay with crowds and children. If your dog is anything like mine, it is a ball magnet. Please be sure you are watching out for them as you would a small child.

Q: Do we allow camper parking?
A: Yes, but they must be at the very back of the parking area and there is no sleeping overnight as the park gate gets closed and locked at night and the city has safety concerns. You can pre-pay for a camper at a lower rate, this also helps us better plan for large vehicles.

Q: What kind of prizes do you offer?
A: We award a paid entry to a Regional National for the winner in each age group, 10u & 12u will have the option of taking a entry fee refund instead of the paid National entry. The winner and runner-up players will receive Tournament T-shirts that are custom screened with "Champions" or "Finalist".

FAQ's (part II)

Q: Do you allow coolers & grills?
A: Yes, you can bring your coolers and grills are allowed as long as they are not by the vehicles. There is a large pavilion at the back of the park that is ideal for a picnic.

Q: Do you clean your porta-johns during the weekend?
A: We have two (2) multi-stall brick & mortar restrooms and a single uni-sex restroom by the front field. We do have two porta-johns for over-flow out front, but they are barely used. All restrooms are cleaned several times each day.

Thanks for the Props Coach.... After seeing it all from the inside, you know our focus is on putting on a quality event. Hope to have your little Lasers team enter this year.

FAQ's (part III)

Q: Do all your fields have HR fences?
A: Yes, all 9 fields will have fences again this year.

Q: Will teams be able to bat more than 9 players during pool play?
A: Yes, we have traditionally allowed teams to bat 11 during pool play. The whole idea is to get the girls as much playing time as possible. This also gives the coaches plenty of time to evaluate their team and make adjustments for Sunday.

Q: Can my team play up at a higher age level.
A: Yes! We have opted not to be a qualifier this year due to the enforcement of an obscure rule that more-or-less prohibited teams from playing up in ASA qualifiers. However, we will still offer to pay for the winning team's entry into a regional national as we have done in the past.

Just wanted to say I've had my daughter play in both the Maple Leaf and Cinderella Classic and this past year set up my mobile pro shop at both tournaments and have not seen any that are run as well as these two! 2 great tournaments! The Fremont Batting Range will be setting up a softball pro shop again this year at both!

Will the fields have a safety base at 1st? I know last year saw collisions in different age groups. I think this was discussed on your thread for last year's Maple Leaf tournament, but can't remember what the status was. Thanks.

I believe that all the fields with the exception of #5 already have safety bases. I will be sure to bring this request to the city. Not sure why they wouldn't have them on all fields to begin with, if you're going to do 8 why not the 9th. JMHO
