Age is an overrated thing as my grandfather stated. It's not the number, but how many years of experience living.

Thanks Doug, that's discouraging news to here. I didn't know we dropped out. Hate too miss out on a 14U tournament for graduations. We were looking forward too this tournament, a lot of great teams in it. Maybe we can sub with someone if its legal since were not playing in any ASA nationals

Talked to Tim today... he was bummed that it was not going to work out... we are going to be annoucing a fall Hall of Fame Berth / 2012 ENQ tourney real soon .. no reason that we should not draw a similar strong list of teams!

Be very careful about subbing in a National Qualifier. For sure, don't sub for a 16U or higher organization or you will be locked into the 16U age bracket for "championship play". The definition of "championship play" is "a tournament or competition from which the winner or the winner and
other selected teams may advance to higher levels of play of this Association." Includes qualifiers for ASA Regional Nations (e.g. ASA Easterns) and for USA/ASA.

For subbing with a 14U team, there are still a lot of questions that frankly are not easily answered by the Code. Especially for a local association such as the Dayton Metro, I would be concerned because there are some funky provisions in the Code relating to championship play for teams that are registered in local associations. I would definitely run your specifics by Warren Jones and ask whether you can be released by your permanent team to play in the Dayton Metro and then released by the substitute team to your original team.

Thanks for the info CGS, i doubt we will sub with anyone for this tournament. Just very!!! disappointed were not playing in this one. Other than Stingrays this was the top tourney on our scheudle. Hopefully will find one to replace it at a later date.
Good Luck on your season.

As understand it several of the teams 'families' are going to older sisters and friends graduations.
